New Year Weight Loss

Saw that - bloody impressive. Anyway, signed up to my first half marathon in Richmond in sept. Nice and flat around Richmond park and Kew Gardens. Things going ok, done a couple of ten miles, slow time at around 1hr 50, but just looking to finish on my first one...

 

Any training tips from the more experienced, and on the day tips most welcome.

Got my 10km a week on Sunday....gonna be a long day....reckon that gorilla doing the marathon may finish before me

I'm not ready for that, yet

 

Sure I could get round but I'm not doing one til know I can run the whole way

 

My weight is steady at 14

 

Might need to stop supping to get the weight loss moving

 

I put 7lbs or so on each weekend then spend the week getting it off

Are you forgetting to take out the pint glasses I see you put in your pockets in pubs at every away game before you weigh yourself or something? That's a lot of weight to put on over a couple of days, are you having a few pints on Fridays before the Park Run?

Run 10k in full about 8 times now. Hard graft and I am very slow. Hopefully I complete it that's my main aim

The 7lbs is between getting home Friday and Monday morning

 

I do wonder if I'm a little dehydrated during the week

 

And one glass this season

 

A nice erdinger number

 

Pity chesterfield is off the agenda next year

When you are flagging and your body is screaming at you to stop just imagine Cheese is running after you trying to bum you.

If somebody wanted to bum the placcy Scouser, he'd defo not be speeding up

You should weigh yourself at the same time every day - ideally on first rising from bed.

 

Comparison between 7pm Friday and 7am Monday is not a valid one.

I've not done more than 5km in one go yet. If you beat me in a sprint finish I'm never running again.

I am thinking you have to run with me all the way round.....you are only as strong as your weakest link :D

 

Dazbob told me he was going to give you a piggyback if you felt knackered at any point

Triathlon for me this Sunday

Start time means I'll miss the match (shit fan). Thought we would have either sewn it up or fucked it up when I entered

Might make it down to pub for second half if I can still walk

Horwich Tri I assume, good luck.

 

Little Henri's and my club Tri- Rivington are having a piss up on the back off it staring at the Crown 7:30, will may go straight through after the game.

tempted to do another 10k, 

 

or a half, give myself the motivation..

 

I'm now tipping the scales at 19.5 stone.. Body fat has come down massively to 28% from 36% (when i was 18 stone)..

 

I'm having issues with energy levels and stamina when training, if i can manage 10k i'll be happy, no time limit for the half just go out and do it :)

That's the one

 

Did the cycling as part of a relay last year so know all about that and done it a few times since

 

Using the swim as a warm up given the amount of time you get though it's the uphill run that's a killer

 

Never done a triathlon before. Individually can do each but putting them all together is a brave new world!
