When we went the second time the Mrs was pregnant and had had enough of Curry after a few days so we found somewhere called Ruffles in Candolim run by a woman from Yorkshire, she was sat there in 34 degree heat eating braising steak, gravy and proper chips. Last time we played at Barnsley I had my dinner in the Thai restaurant & the "special" was braised steak & dumplings. TBF the boss was a proper Yorkshireman, "ey up flower", but at least 2 of the 4 Thai waitresses/female staff had prominent Adam's Apples. We got speaking to a Scouse couple who said when they got home they would be giving it just 1 star on Trip Advisor....the reason being the menu was just full of foreign stuff, no proper food. When I pointed out that as we were in India it was quite likely the menu would be mainly Indian/Curry based they said it shouldn't be if they were taking bookings from English tourists. They also admitted that they thought Goa was in Africa, didn't realise it was India until they went to get their Visas, otherwise they would never have come as "we don't really like Pakis" FFS, we issue passports to folk like this? Had to email the retail disputes team and they will now take it further. Next time up on the Fylde Coast I will be having a curry the night before.
