No mate. Got two mates (one who is brother in law) and it's ruined them

It creates the most selfish, self- centred cunts in the world and ruins social gatherings. Just my opinion like

A sad day when folk can't socialise without getting off their tits. Especially if it leaves someone out of a job or similar.

You see, this possibly explains your dilemma.

Most people's advice would be to stay the fuck out of the whole issue, but you've clearly got an anti-drugs axe to grind and I think this is clouding your judgement.

PS this is coming from someone who doesn't touch the stuff.

Struggling to see what benefit it is in bringing it up, it's hearsay with no evidence to support. TBH, the blokes manager has likely heard it too but hands are tied with no evidence.

Only way to get them would be if there's a company random drink and drugs test bit I'd guess there'd be more than 1 worried about that

Speaking to the boss isn't going to achieve anything. You won't be thanked and you will end up with the shitty end of the stick. I get you have an issue with drugs but it's fuck all to do with work or you. Remember these people may come in contact with you in the future.

Obvs not replying to Traf

Maybe didn't explain it well enough. His manager is same level as me. I'm saying I'll have a word with him to let him know what's being said about one of his team. Not taking it upwards or anywhere else just saying to my mate who's at the same level as me what I've heard went on re the bags of powder. Up to him what he then does - quiet word, investigation, or whatever

Yeah I've got serious issues with cocaine. I don't deny that. I've seen first hand at a family level how it fucks people's lives up and ruins marriages, relationships, friendships, the lot. Coke heads are cunts. End of. And I make no apologies for that statement.

That's why I put the original question out there. Shit happened at a sales meeting and I'm hearing cocaine was involved so asked about the dilemma I was facing. Yes, my opinions were possibly clouding my judgement but having read everyone's replies I reckon I'm now following the best course of action. Thank you all for your replies/opinions

As someone said before what you haven't seen isn't evidence just hearsay but all you are giving your mate is a heads up so he is not caught out and if he has been acting a cunt before then he knows he is a cunt then he is cunt he needs to get rid of

I was once in a similar situation where a young rep was blowing off a married head of department in return for best salesman which included a cash bonus of 1k. I later was told by the director not to say anything or he would lose his job and his marriage and the sales rep would lose her job.

I choose to say nothing as I wasn't bothered about the award as I was not eligable for it as I was in finance dept. Come the end of the year the said sales person against all odds had won the award despite being against salesman with 15 years more experience then her. I moved on to a new company yne following year

I'd advise to say nothing especially if you are new to the company as I was. Only cause you grief and potentially make it impossible to continue your job

Finally as for the chan thing. All of the salesman I know do it and the ones at the company I mentioned used to do it during working hours as did the directors (although it was dine discreetly) .

You've clearly got a serious hatred off chan and anyone who uses it which I'd say is in a par to saying all Muslims are terrorists

Exactly and I would be confident if they did it with the intention of sacking anyone tested positive then going off the various office I've worked you'd Lose at least half of your staff

But basically, pissed people have robbed ale and that's been dealt with.

Two adults had sex.

People took cocaine (allegedly).

What you wanting to achieve. Who do you want sacked? I get it was a company event but has it affected the business Coke Monday? Seems a lot of hassle for not a lot of benefit unless you think it will some how make you into a saint.

Playing with people's lives is not good

Not all people that drink are alcoholic piss cans.

Not all people that take cocaine are coke head cunts.

There having a dabble at a party and a bit of late session and there's whacking a load up your schnozle to get you through a Monday morning.

There's different addictions accross society, you just happen to have beef with this particular one.

I think the position you are taking now is right.

'Listen mate there are loads of rumours going round about lads in your team, just so you know, I was not there so just letting you know'

Then you are clear.

Fair point well made. I retract my "all cokeheads are cunts" and say "all cokeheads that I've known well are cunts" as they absolutely have been and have caused nothing but grief and mither

That's exactly what I've done. I also added that he maybe needs a word because if it comes out as proven then he as manager will in all likelihood get roped in. He had no problem with me telling him what I'd heard and that all I was doing was giving him a heads-up on what had been said with no evidence on my side to back it up

Aye. Really weighed on my mind what to do. As said above grateful for all the replies/opinions. Needed to bounce it off a few people but obviously couldn't do it at work

Ironically company reissued the Code of Conduct today. Guess that was linked...........
