Great to see that big eared big nosed big mouth cunt Lineker silenced with his expert Brexit views :D

That cunt has about as much credibility as Cheese in the whole Brexit debate

Anyone on here worried about the supply of prescription medicines, medical devices, or products for woundcare, please don't concern yourselves. The companies involved have robust plans in place for whatever the outcome. Regulations are so strict, in terms of licensing, supply chain, etc, that they are geared up for whatever happens

As an aside, and you can link it to the whole debate if you want to, but some blood pressure medications have just been withdrawn due to ingredients manufactured in China. Also some woundcare dressings, manufactured in India, as a cheap replacement for a UK product, were found to be substandard, and withdrawn. From my discussions from those ITK and involved it raises a couple of points

  • Holy shit - we leave the EU and have to rely on substandard products manufactured in countries on the outside and people's health/wellbeing suffers
  • Companies looked outside the EU due to "additional costs" associated with being in the EU

Now, I'm no expert in the area of product sourcing in the healthcare industry, however, those that I work with that do that work in that area, see Brexit as an opportunity to push forward "British" standards and free themselves from the shackles of the EU

I shall refrain from donning my British Bulldog waistcoat, and espousing the quality of the British manufacturing industry..............however, if you want quality, look no further than this country.....but you have to pay for it

Quality is one thing and trade is another. It's why I always find Spider's musings on this thread extremely interesting

Anyway. Enough of the boring shit. The jug-eared cunt should keep to trying, and failing, to be funny on MOTD

Terrible reporting, as clearly it was a march of 10,000 (rather than 100) and Antifa were to blame for the violence (not pro-Brexit supporters). Shame on you George Osborne.

There was some yellow jacket nobbers in Manchester this morning some were picketing greggs for selling vegan sausage rolls some were stood in piccadilly gardens, came back later and they'd been replaced by a bunch of Africans.

It's certainly what pictures I've seen show. I only saw them moping opposite morrisons.

The Africans had much more of a party vibe at their protest in the afternoon

Thought provoking article here.

Will upset some without doubt.

As my friend the fine Terry Thomas would often quip....hard Cheese :D

Yet another Miami 'fact' from dubious sources (the former, not the latter).

Incidentally Terry-Thomas was a lifelong believer in fair-play and equality, nay, socialism - he also grew a beard and took to smoking cannabis and wearing a Fez in later life - partially to alleviate a serious health problem (the dope-smoking) but mainly because he was a humantarian leftie lover of hippydom and freethinking.

Sorry to piss on your chips Youri, but I didn’t say it was a fact, I merely said it was a thought provoking article.

Casino can silence his boom boom and come over Basil as always.

Oh, I'll give you that, it provoked the thought in me that folk will read the most obviously biased shite from the most dubious of agenda-based sources and consider it worthy of merit.

And that goes across the spectrum.

You should see some of the shite my lefty acquaintances consider 'thought provoking'...

It’s more what the left don’t consider thought provoking which is rather worrying.

Well that's bollocks as Basil was most definitely not a player of the pink oboe...

The rabbit off Pipkins however...

My elder sister (two small cherry-topped coconut macaroons on an ironing board) has just informed me the lightfooted character referred to above (whom I only encountered in 'nostalgia' TV shows) was not a rabbit but a hare. JSL.

It was, indeed, a hare. It went by the name Hartley. Pipkin was originally Inigo Pipkin.

In this day and age, unfortunately fake news dictates that your link could be from a dodgy website. However the quote criticising it has no source with it.

I therefore had a brief visit to the website, and there's no doubt that there's some concern expressed over Islamic issues. It also discusses the EU.

Seems much of it is approached from a legal standpoint, and is reasonable in its language.

It's not even necessarily making up news or presenting fake facts - it's the skewing or selective presentation.

The quote wasn't 'criticising' the aforementioned 'think-tank' (a phrase that in itself should always mean 'buyer beware' in my opinion) - it was merely pointing out its agendas, people behind it etc. It was from Wikipedia - which contrary to popular opinion isn't particularly biased and isn't prone to error - errors or vandalism are usually quickly remedied. It's a relatively reliable source. Anyone can contribute, true, but if say someone vandalised or added biased and/or unsupported information to an article, even about a twat like Tommy Robinson, one of the tens of thousands of anal editors would quickly correct/amend/delete this.

That's fair enough- though did wiki show the factual errors and correct them?

Sadly, this whole shit show has gone so toxic, that it's almost impossible to fully trust anything.

There are loads of links throughout this thread on one view or another, and I've sometimes read them, but most I just glaze over and think fuck it I can't be arsed.

On wiki one can search the entire 'history' of an article, so for example if some tinker once edited and wrote Sam Allardyce's middle name was Fathead then it'll be in the searchable Wikipedia history of the article on Sam Fathead Allardyce.

Regarding the links posted on here I very rarely read them at all, left or right leaning, I will, however, research the source/background/bias of unfamiliar ones.
