It was a dig at NiC, who said that anyone who voted for Boris was an an imbecile, or similar.

Still waiting for an apology

Yes, I got it. Fairly typical, like suggesting he has a gp friend and therefore he knows best and we're all wrong for wanting a more efficient health service. In his usual patronising way. Weird.

Dig away sonny jim, it’s not what I said - just brought up some data on who voted. How you take it is down to your sensitive little soul sweetheart 😘

I'd say the point he's making is that there's no problem with your wish list but your belief it is within reach is dreamworld

I make him right

Pretty much, it’s the simplification of ‘I’m right because I believe it’ silliness that appears slightly lunkheaded.

KW is also a friend of this really lovely bloke, it’s this idea that Drs can just administer care without management, it was never thus and never will be.

True, you said

If you vote for that blithering human bloon and his cabinet, then yes I’d suggest you need to give your head a wobble.

The lack of GPS is absolutely killing the system

They just aren't interested in doing a Friday afternoon surgery

I’d say there is a thankless task in it, also being a good GP is hard, it’s not an easy option. The hours and on call are long, but you also do get pretty well remunerated, as you should do.

I read the entire article thank you.

Doesn't deflect from the headline though.

Ah yes, the best way to summarise newspaper articles - quote the headline and ignore the substance.

The headline is factually correct, but doesn’t reflect what else is in the article. And surprise surprise, you didn’t refer to the rest of it in your post.

Would you have posted the link if the headline was any of the following (which are also taken from the body of the article)?

”City of London fears over very flimsy trade deal”.

”2019 tax receipts show only a slight increase, reflecting a challenging year for the financial sector”.

”Tax receipts in the City show notable slowdown in growth compared to 2017-2018”.

”Corporation tax from financial services firms falls 9.5%, falling below levels seen in 2008.”

”Worry for financial services firms as profitability falls amidst challenging conditions caused by global trade tensions, political uncertainty and low interest rates.”

”Tax figures show UK economy is overly hooked on the finance sector and needs to diversify.”

”City of London to face another challenging year as EU-facing business set to fall.”

Course I wouldn't 😂😂😂

Like you say, the headline is factually correct 😊

Just like you won't admit there's not been 500k job losses the day after we left Brexit.

I see the fears in the city yarn again.....hmmm, where have I heard that before ?

Global trade tensions......not Brexit is it, it is global.

Thank you and goodnight

Exactly. No wonder most people tend not to read your links. You’re trying to pass off the article as a positive one for your cause, by ignoring the content. You’re as bad as the person on Twitter who posted it (or more likely you were naive enough to have seen the twitter post and were hoodwinked into believing the spin - and then re-posting it).

It was a bit of a piss take.

I don't buy the argument that a system with more folk can't be managed and would have prohibitive costs. In numerical terms, were not a big nation, and plenty of others manage it.

As Kent points out however, is the vast amount wasted previously, on a variety of initiatives.

Let medical folk be just that, and not burden them with with onerous administration. At the same time we can't be throwing our arms in the air and saying we can't do x,y or z.

We need to toughen up and modernise. Starting by actually asking for money back, that has already been agreed would be a start.

Its not the number of people treated - its the complexity of the system - the IT systems in place and the requirements of any system that replaces them. There isn't "one system" there are a multitude at different levels. When Labour tried to introduce standardised systems in their hugely ambitious NPfIT - it failed - and was horrendously expensive. It wasn't because there was incompetence in government or anything like that - it was because private contractors took on development of systems that needed to replace functionality of a whole range of existing systems - and the scope was impossible - and the developers failed - and then nobody wanted to touch it.

You could try and implement a totally separate independent system regarding cost recovery only - but you'd still need it to interface in some way with an existing system to identify and link NHS numbers. patient ID's etc...(and even then there isn't always consistency).

the noise from the tory MPs was music to my ears. Hostile atmosphere just like a packed burnden back in the day. Intimidating and no suffering fools gladly. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Went to Birmingham Royal ortho hospital today, had machines on the reception that checked who you were and the system notified you when your consultant was ready to see you, must say the hospital was immaculate, the service excellent the staff friendly, professional and very efficient, the consultant was superb and agreed to do the surgery I specifically requested, so had x ray, pre op and was on my way home in 4 hours, operation scheduled for May. The operations 13k if went private with same surgeon, fantastic service.

Magic moments. Pick the bones out of those scenes Grieve, Swinson, Soubry and Bercow. You've had your arses kicked just like you deserve. As for the SNP - clearly generations in Scotland only last five or six years.

While it’s wonderful to see the snp spitting blood, think we should give them a referendum, preferably after Brexit is sorted and we’re all doing very nicely.
