Site Supporter Spider Posted November 22, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted November 22, 2020 We’re 5 weeks away and the only information being put out by the government to businesses is “be prepared, get ready now” Trouble is, they don’t actually say what we need to be ready for. Its so unlike this lot to give out murky, loose messaging.

As mentioned previously a very good and valid reason to delay the process. As well as trade need the details on things like financial servicing passporting, Irish borders and critically at the moment pharmaceutical testing. The things people have been asking about for nearly 3 years.

You can’t negotiate sensibly with the eu while delaying the process, surely even remainers agree with that, any delay also gives more uncertainty, get it done now and let’s get on with our lives. The deal Tell is what is acceptable and what isnt You’ve had 4 years to think it through as you knew all along it would happen, so as Bolty says, the visionary should enlighten us. 😁 What would be an unacceptable betrayal and what would justify us leaving? No idea why you need to say ‘even Remainers’ in your response. We are leaving. We need the best deal possible in terms of the actual deal and the infrastructure and processes to make that deal work. Given the shit storm this year has been a smooth transition is essential. Everyone’s attention has been focussed on the virus. Given we are 6-7 weeks away from leaving and no one is sure what the Irish border solution will be (for instance). How can you say with any certainty that that solution will be fine ? So if we had to have an interim solution for that would you think that was bad ? Take the vaccine if we need special rules to allow the movement of that across Europe for a period of time would you think that was bad ? What I am talking about is the potential need to keep current freedom of movement of goods for an interim period given the exceptional circumstances. (For instance). Escobarp
Sorry gents but if anyone thinks just because some people will go into meltdown, that a no deal is acceptable for the medium term future of our country then I’m astonished and it’s quite sad really.
