In PMQ's today Bozo was asked what he was going to do to prevent the Scottish Fishing industry from going under due to brexit red tape causing fresh produce to rot in ports.  Some of these businesses are in real trouble and are even going to Denmark to try and overcome these problems in some cases.  Johnson replied with some irrelevant bollocks about the SNP concentrating too much on independence and said they should be grateful for the millions this government is providing.  The SNP could not promote a second independence referendum better than he does.

Just had a read up.

NFFO are confident current delays will be ironed out as companies get used to paperwork. It needs to be available in the language of every country it travels through for example.

Some issuss seem in France etc, with computer systems not working for example and delays in their ports. Thus reducing quality of fresh fish at customers.

Will be some unhappy consumers in that there EU.

Meanwhile, the sensible UK has a period of 6 months grace, over which importers can get used to the paperwork etc they will need.

Would that be the same SNP who don't want to widen the investigation into their own leaders re the Alex Salmond inquiry ? I wonder why ever not 🤔

The one thing above everything else in parliament is the very single minded attitude of the SNP. Everything is twisted into a statement about independence.

Contribute so little of any note to debates because it all comes back.

There we go. WE voted to leave, but any consequences we suffer are the EU's fault because they won't abandon their rules until we get used to being a third country.

Their exporters aren't suffering though, as we're being more flexible whilst things bed in.

That IS the point.

No one said there wouldn't be increased paperwork etc, however its typical of the machine that is the EU that they will cut off their nose to spite their face.

Yes, they have been thrown under the bus.

I think pretty much anybody with half a brain knew the fisherfolk were going to get sacrificed - it's not a massive issue really (for them yes, for the UK, not at all), the main thing is that we're still able, as far as I'm able to tell, allowed to continue to trade tariff free in industries that actually generate some money for the country

Same for NI really, everybody knew they were going to be fucked over, absolutely everybody, so now for people to claim they are surprised at what's happening is a bit odd

Yeah but some people are still clinging onto every single bit  of negativity they can. It’s in their dna. It’s these people who should have been thrown under the bus. Literally.

A few of us on here know a haulier and he’s just posted on Facebook that he’s stopping deliveries to NI because of the amount of aggro he’s having.

Not sure which way he voted.

I think we can make quite a confident guess
