Maybe I prepare myself for the let down

I do think there's a 15 point defeat on the cards

Love to be wrong

I truly believe there's a decent chance that you may be.

Have said all along that NZ would win it if you care to check back. Think it is a lot closer than some would think though. We are far from no hopers and I wouldn't be surprised if we beat them.

I'm stood in a queue for the ticket office after the great season ticket balls up.

What does this all mean for Cheese and his banana?

The banana boat sailed a long time ago

Well, he's either going to break the law, or attempt to get the legislation through in 8 days.

I don’t understand why he doesn’t just ask for the extension on basis of we leave as soon as legislation gets through? It means he doesn’t have to break the law, shows good faith to those who he chucked out his party and strengthens his commons position.

Final thing on this but on bbc now they are saying he has enough support to pass his deal in the commons. Just some of them wanted the Letwin amendment passed and him to send the letter to Brussels re the extension

once he’s done that then all being equal it gets done

Blackford and the snp have proven they want to keep going on referendums til they get their desired outcome. If only life was that simple.

Blackford's like a broken record - repeat repeat.

Same old same old.

A cue to turn PMQs off early every Wednesday.

He bangs on about Boris writing this letter to his beloved EU, maybe he (Blackford) should put in writing that he will accept the result of referendums.

That's how I see it.

Seemed to be concern that if he got the deal through today, then the government would let time slip, not put legislation through and leave without a deal, as I understand it.

Can't see that they would, it would be a betrayal to many voters, a big vote loser in a election, and would probably face another legal challenge.

Anyway, write the letter, ask for a couple of weeks tops and get the legislation done.

As I see it he has no choice but to send the letter by 11pm tonight otherwise he has broken the law

I think a letter will be sent. Stating that he has been compelled to write a letter stating that parliament wish to ask for an extension. But he doesn’t believe one is necessary and if an extension is granted it would lead potentially to a no deal brexit which he wishes to avoid as does the eu

He has then complied with the “law” although he still states the law doesn’t compel him to write this letter. But it would also give the EU a strong reason to reject this extension request

He will be granted an extension, for how long is up for debate though. There is talk now of further amendments to compel Johnson to offer the confirmatory vote should the deal be approved.

Interesting times ahead it seems
