It's been parody for over a year, but today pretty much summed it all up

We laud "Great" Britain and pat ourselves on the back, but when it comes down to it, we're a petty-minded, divided, introverted collection of small time wankers getting precisely what we deserve.

Honestly, we're all massive cunts.

1. Govt is sending three documents to the EU tonight - the 1st, the Benn Act extension letter, exactly as set out in law, but that PM has not personally signed; 2nd, a cover note from Sir Tim Barrow and the 3rd, a letter signed by the PM arguing that further delay is a mistake

There we have it. Unsigned letter asking for an extension. Accompanied by a signed one saying he believes it’s a mistake. I wasn’t far wrong

So it will likely end up in courts. Not sure what the point is. It’s futile. An extension can be granted that does not effect our leave date. Or that allows it to happen a week or two after it.

It’s heading towards some sort of consultation with the public, a GE isn’t right to sort BREXIT though, that won’t get us anywhere. It needs to be a referendum with only Leave on the ballot paper

Option 1) A Norway style deal, leave the EU but free movement, full access to single market etc

Option 2) Boris deal (TM’s deal)

Option 3) Leave with no deal (although what this means for NI will need to be made clear)

All honour the referendum, all three options are crystal clear, no need for any delay after that. Should have been something similar on the original referendum really.

Then we need a GE based on domestic policies to try and get a working government

Agree with you in the main there. I’m Completely and utterly sure in my mind and that of 17.4m people is remain shouldn’t form part of any further referendum.

Option 1 has not been offered. Remain has to be on any ballot as the situation is very different to three years ago.

Option 1 is an off the shelf deal, would be available, basically a soft BREXIT

I voted remain, I can’t see a way back from here unfortunately. I’d take a soft BREXIT now and live to fight another day. I’d even take TM’s deal

Anything but a No Deal, that would be atrocious all round

I don’t believe option 1 would get put forward by this government in reality.

it would  be more suited to the liberal undemocratics. But we know they just want to ignore the people.

Agree as do most folk no deal has to be avoided and I believe it will. We will be out soon.

What type of remain are people voting on?

If we remain no one knows what remain really means in future so I want the government to do a full impact assessment I want a guarantee that remain is gold plated and will be forever a rosy garden of Eden, I want a copper bottom guarantee that I will be better off in the EU.

I hope if there is ever another referendum and the result is remain then every brexiteer in parliament fight to stop it at every end and turn, fight it in the courts, fight it in parliament, fight dirty and hamstring any agreement and do not ever let a bill to remain or a revoking of article 50 ever pass parliament.

We all have different wishes so you should respect them.

I respect people’s desire to remain. Please don’t confuse that with disrespect.

But I also feel strongly that before anything we must deliver on the outcome of the referendum. Then we can move forward and who knows maybe end up back in the eu at a later date. We don’t know.

But if this isn’t delivered (which it will be) it would signal the end of democracy in our political system.

What government? We don’t have one as far as I can see

I believe a confirmatory vote is required to end this impasse but it has to have a remain option. Nothing today has changed that.
