Site Supporter Spider Posted April 24, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted April 24, 2021 I think it’s sweet that JRM is given 20 minutes every day to tell an empty chamber his irrelevant, Dickensian thoughts. Boris seems to keep him as a Pet Tory, just pat him on the bum bum and send him into the HOC when all the proper work has finished. He’s sewage with plums in. But approach one who is a donor, and all he'll breaks loose. This other stuff from Cummings may turn out to be different gravy though. Very damaging if true, though he doesn't help himself calling others incompetent after driving around for a while to test his eyesight! Bit of a battle brewing now the gloves appear to be off. Who do you believe, Johnson the serial Liar sacked from two previous jobs for Lying, or the Companies that actually build Medical Ventilators who say they offered to provide them to the Government at cost but didn't even get an answer to their offer. If you believe Johnson's version then, well, fucking hell.
Guest Nordkurve
13 hours ago, Escobarp said: That certainly wasn’t the story at the time I’m sure of that. It was the story though mate. Several UK based Companies went on record saying they offered to provide more Ventilators at cost and didn't even get a response from the Government. They ended up providing them to other Countries which is just stupid of our Government (if they REALLY wanted more Ventilators). The EU also offered to provide more Ventilators as part of a procurement scheme and that was rejected. It's too late to worry about it now, but the fact is Johnson gave contracts to Companies that build Diggers and Vacuum Cleaners and didn't bother to respond to actual Ventilator companies. The bigger problem here is that he just lies and lies and lies and is never held to account. It makes us look like a fucking Banana Republic. Youri McAnespie
Previously people would emptily bemoan the lack of political engagement from the uneducated rabble, well, now they're engaged and we reap what we pretended to sow. We have a priviledged Turkish-American bullshit artist in the top job, and the proles who are lumpen no more couldn't be happier. He's a 'reet laugh', remember him on that zipline - suit hoiked up, tiny Union Jack in hand? He's ace, and he shags about, he could eat a bacon butty no problem if he wasn't an Ottoman. Actually scrap that last bit, a tory-nouveau probably only knows that word in reference to furniture, if that. We should resign ourselves to small victories for the foreseeable - such as Stephen Lawrence Day usurping St George's Day in schools etc. It may take a few years for some myopic gammon to enter the hereafter and enlightened youth to take their place, so we wait... In the meantime we'll triumph in certain battles and be able to enjoy the inevitable cannibalism amongst the avaricious self-serving cabal currently in overall charge. It boils down, as ever, to the English mentality of our publicly-schooled “betters” being best placed to run the shop. In exchange for this demanding task that is beyond the grasp of the proletariat, our cosy middle classes treat them with reverence and hand-wringing respect. Unfortunately, vast swathes of our middle classes are only a generation away from working class families and the herd mentality and socialist roots are still in evidence. They post cringeworthy platitudes to JRM on social media, like he’s signed for their chosen football team as a star striker, as opposed to being a man with less social conscience than stray dog shitting on your lawn. They have taken the Tories to heart, in large part to distance themselves from their roots and probe to the scum on the estate down the road that they are better, have done well for themselves. They’ve got the Audi, the Belstaff fleece and the sex pond in the garden. Just top it off with Facebook posts aligning themselves with Mogg and DeFeffele and the picture is complete. Its a perceived climb up the social ladder. But the tide will turn. Not because Bojo continues to stick his cock into everyone’s face, but because social media will eventually tell them to vote red. Exactly. They kid themselves the monied and privileged regard them as equals, yet the moment they turn their backs it's guffaws all 'round. I do doubt however they'd ever relinquish the flimsy ego boost of deluded ideas of 'betterment' that being a 'tory'* provides to return to a state of nature political stance. They're the most ghastly type of person, despised from all angles. Lording it and toadying in equal measure. I'm just glad most of them aren't involved in shaping future thinking and culture. They probably even buy the wrong Belstaff couture as well. * Most of the outrageous reactionary opinion they spout or repost would actually see them barred from the Conservative Party if they were members - even they have some standards. Irrespective of whether or not they could actually supply, it did no harm in approaching as many companies as he did. In all this, no doubt some will feel aggrieved, and will take the opportunity to have a pop. If however their grievances are genuine, then they will be shown as such at a future investigation. Sorry mate. Stop sticking up for a Liar and listen to real facts. The Companies DID have capacity to supply but were ignored. It's "not my account". It's facts from at least two Ventilator Manufacturers in the UK. Imagine you are the PM. Who do you approach ? Option 1: The Companies that build Medical Ventilators and have capacity to build them and offer to build them at cost, or Option 2: A Vacuum Cleaner Company and a Digger Company. If you choose Option 2 without having chosen Option 1 first you are not only a Moron, but a fucking cunt as well.
