That's fine by me👍 It's all about opinions mate. We are all entitled to them and it's what makes the world go round

It is mate.

i also  think his 400k euro salary a year tells me he’s a tad brighter and knowledgeable  than all on here and very much brighter than me.
And more so than Janice on Facebook holding her candlight vigil cos we’ve left Europe

but he’s probably wildly wrong according to certain folk on here

If the EU collapses - we're in for a very bumpy ride. Whether we're in it or whether we're not. I agree - I can't understand why anybody in their right mind would want to see it fail.

Although us ditching has made that prospect more likely.

And certainly cleverer than those interviewed on the BBC on Friday at the Brexit parties. It's going to be an interesting few months

Because that would have been a representative sample of the folk at all the parties? Course it would

that’s the sort of comment I would expect from fanny5 mate

Possible. I think it makes it more likely to reform.

Did anyone mention the IMF report the other week, putting the UK ahead of the Eurozone for the next couple of years ?

Very shocked if ST hasn't posted it as he loves forecasts like that.

Oh, hang on.....it's a positive report and relating to Post EU affairs so I understand the lack of spouting now 🤭🇬🇧

Said it about 18 months ago ST is like the Japanese soldier found in the jungle 30 years after the war had finished thinking it was still going on. He’s a lost cause.

Christ. These people if they even are people are walking around in our national flag, a blight on our nation. A horrible malignant pustulent tumour on our country. But it’s ok because they and their collective wisdom won. What these people represent is everything we need to avoid.

Stop just reading the headlines matey. From the same article, 4 paragraphs down.....

“We deny such a contingency plan exists,” said a spokesman for Nissan Europe. “We’ve modelled every possible ramification of Brexit and the fact remains that our entire business both in the UK and in Europe is not sustainable in the event of WTO tariffs …We continue to urge UK and EU negotiators to work collaboratively towards an orderly balanced Brexit that will continue to encourage mutually beneficial trade.” Nissan’s warnings have prompted fears that the company would eventually be forced to close its Sunderland production site if UK prime minister Boris Johnson fails to secure a deal with the EU.

It’s in the same article. That you posted.

UK manufacturing is basically holding its breath this year.

The deal is everything.

Boris has been playing kids games so far. The real work has barely begun.

I, like everyone else, am praying he gets it right.

Never, it's not is it ?😂😂😂😉

And you seem to think the struggling EU aren't going to do a deal with us ? Get a grip fella and get positive.

I was of the understanding that the IMF prediction was based on an orderly exit with a comprehensive free trade deal with the EU? With a no deal exit the outlook would be negative according to the IMF

I guess most of us want a comprehensive free trade agreement with the EU. But it will likely mean a Border down the Irish Sea with NI separated from the U.K. in many ways

A comprehensive free trade deal with the EU also massively reduces our chances of getting a similar deal with the US. Any free trade deal we sign with the US will hand some sovereignty over to Washington as they build clauses in to stop us becoming a back door into the US

As an example, French wine currently goes into the US with 25% import tariffs. If we had a comprehensive free trade deal with both the US and EU then you could ship the wine into the U.K. for a day then send onto the US and save 25%.

A comprehensive free trade deal with both the EU and US isn’t happening, we need to decide which one, I’d take the EU as it’s a bigger market and closer to us so we naturally trade more. In that scenario, as the IMF have predicted, we will be in good shape. Option 2 we go no deal with EU and try to deal with the US, it will be a shit show IMO

😂 Unbelievable.

If selective blindness such as yours really is indicative of the 52%, it's no wonder Dominic Cummings is so well paid.

Did you read the full article fella ? Spider highlights one single quote and you masturbate over it along with the rest of the 48% negative folk. No wonder tens of thousands of EU civil servants are so well paid

The only blindness seems to be within the 48% (not all I might add). Blind to our rich history; denying our influence in global development; generally lacking belief in or, even worse, pouring shit on all that has been achieved by that plucky little dot on the globe.

The industriousness and inherent ingenuity of the British will inevitably forge a great success out of what lies before us. We always have and always will.

FFS stop crapping your pants at the prospect of having to stand on our own two feet again and get your shoulder to the wheel. Something we have done throughout history and no one is better equipped to do so than the UK.

If that makes me a 'Little Englander' in the eyes of some spineless shrinking violet frightened of striking out on our own then it is a badge I will wear with pride.

Can't remember if it was von der Leyen or some other EU 'dignitary' but I did notice them say during the last few hours of our membership that they were sad to see us go as "you saved us twice during the last century"". Seems they recognise our significance more than you do.

You are priceless. Only a few weeks ago you were done like a kipper for posting a tweet without reading (or perhaps understanding) the article. The reason - you had simply read the headline and believed the Brexit propaganda. You admitted you wouldn’t have quoted the article’s contents, because they were negative. You were caught cock in hand whilst muttering “City tax receipts” over and over again.

Hang on a moment fella, re the other week....did I say I believed the article ? No I didn't,  so get your facts correct. I merely said the headline was correct and factual which it was and which you also admitted.

Go back and check, you'll see who is right here. ......irrelevant of how you are trying to portray it.
