Forget fisheries, WTO and freedom of movement, the worst of all news...

Junior's new passport arrived today and it's definitely black and not blue

Get another referendum going, we've been lied to again!

It must have been an oven ready passport, kept in the oven to long.

Surely a Brexit stalwart should be putting his money where his mouth is?

Britain is best.

Unless it’s the EU and a bit cheaper.

The point is that we are global

The article claims it follows the covid situation. Dunno why that would necessitate the change, but if you're going to post links to articles to condemn brexit, pick ones that do!

Anyways Ineos has lots of jobs here already. As do the Japanese etc.

You need a holiday.

so if we move all future planned projects/production to anywhere else in the world, but the UK, then that's a good thing?

We are a global trading nation.

You know how trade works, I’m sure!

I know we are, we always have been (before, during and after the EU)

I guess the point that Spider is making is that somebody who was pretty vociferous about Brexit, and how it would be of great benefit to the UK Manufacturing industry as the EU stifles manufacturing, might want to continue with building his facility in Wales rather than in the EU....

In fairness, he's just doing what any business man would do, he's going where he can maximise his profit, I don't blame him. He's recently moved to Monaco, from the UK, so that he doesn't have to pay as much tax...it'll save him over £100M per year, I don't blame him for doing that either to be honest

It's good that we're getting somewhere on something after all this time.......this has been a bit farcical this bit, I think we can all agree. We agreed something, we were all happy, then the UK decided to insert some clauses (that may or may not have broken international law), we argue a bit, UK then withdraws the controversial clauses, everybody is happy and we agree the deal that was agreed 12 months ago 😀

Let's get that trade deal sorted now

Major debates in the hoc now.

Goes back to the heart of the reason for the distasteful parts of the internal markets bill.

At the time, it was explained that a weakness within the withdrawal bill gave the eu certain control of trade between GB and NI. It was accepted however, as there was a clause in it referring to "best endeavours" etc which meant that this was to be cleared up later, whilst the trade agreement was sorted.

Then in came the clauses, unpleasant certainly, to much understandable chagrin.

Obviously because the deal was shite was the claim.

Then a few quiet voices explain that the "EU had reneged on its legal duties with regard to best endeavours and that the EU was in fact already in breach of international law". The EU threatened court action, but nothing materialised.

So where is the truth, what was the reality of the situation? Very few really know, I dont.

However, its funny how an agreement has now been reached and the clauses dropped.

Are the Ulster contingent happy?

suppose it depends on the detail - the Government has made it clear they're not overly arsed about NI either way, so let them complain. As the saying goes, if they don't like it "Tough Shit"

Going off recent comments this afternoon, DUP mps were quite happy with the clauses, and are pleased with the outcome.

Can we now finally admit that we have handed Ulster back to the Irish where it belongs?

If Brexit does nothing else, it gets that sectarian monkey off our back at least.

Now, sort my deliveries out and I'll buy Mounts a pint.

Northern Ireland is a fly in the Brexit ointment.

Let Celtic and its fans go and live there.

It's Ireland's problem now.

It was always going to be tricky. I don’t believe for one minute what’s been agreed has been done without the consent of the DUP. If it had we would have heard.

It’s a big step forward as I see it.
