Bacon? Fucking bacon?? How can anyone dislike bacon?

I know. I get stick for this on a regular basis. To me, it's like eating hot ham coated in salt.

Leaves more for you filthy bacon-lovers though, so maybe you should be grateful.

Bacon. Food of the gods. I lived with a Jewess back in the day who liked nothing better than a bacon sarnie and I worked with a Muslim who's secret pleasures were bacon and egg McMuffins and pints of Guinness. Nobody dislikes bacon

That is a demonstrably false statement.

weirdo

fruit shouldn't be anywhere near a hot meal

get two runny bastard eggs on it

So not this then? https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/normandy-pork-apples-cider

Love this - especially in autumn, had it twice over the last couple of weeks - although used a quicker Nigel Slater recipe, so it's not really Normandy Pork, but the apples, cider, mustard and honey is a winner.

You sound like my missus. Do you not like sweet and sour stuff either?

Have to agree about two eggs though; just with pineapple too.

Plus there's a health benefit- enzymes in pineapple help break down protein making it easier to digest.

Sweet bread.

Not bull's bollocks, nor brioche or fruit loaves or anything meant to be sweet, no, I mean bread, usually sliced, that tastes sweet - probably due to some cost-cutting measure like mixing in reject cake slab...

I hope we're not going the way of the yanks and sweetening every fucking thing.

Got some wraps from Aldi t'other day - fucking rank, really sweet. Binned 'em, sommat I usually never do.

Still got some growing in my vegi bed. Steamed lightly with a knob of butter. Good stuff.

Think I once heard mint can make baby batter better, but not sure.

It's a problem guessing the exact size for a "knob" of butter. Dunno about you lot but I find 10in of butter makes the dish a bit too rich.
