The reason I mention frensic fred is because he's miles more clued up on finances than me

I'm sure he said there was a 500k payment to inner circle which sceptics have as being KAs wage while Fred suggests it could be for all sorts of things other than wages

I assume by now you have seen 'Fred's' reply to you on the BN forum -

"Message to Casino on Wanderersways. No, I don't contribute to WW or any other site. I concentrate on the BN which seems to have more nitwits than ............ make up your own simile. I can't be bothered".

I have corresponded with Fred on a number of occasions in the past and have nothing but the highest regard for his intelligence, integrity, and professionalism.

I'm not sure why he bothers to continue to allow himself to constantly be the target of the anti-Anderson nutjobs such as the likes of Shortland on the Bolton News comments section, as the paper does not mod the boards which is infested with trolls and moron's and is not fit for decent discussion (or frankly is fit for purpose at all imo).

I have several times requested him to become a regular poster over on Nuts but he has his own good reasons not to involve himself on forums.

Iirc the payment you refer to above was £625,000 and Fred's interpretation if I understood him correctly was that if you were to deduct tax from that sum, it came to an amount close enough to the sum Mr Anderson's Inner Circle bought Holdsworth's remaining shareholding from the liquidator.

Personally I'm not convinced that the actual timeline supported such a conclusion but the point that Fred was rightly making in my opinion - in the full face of the Anti-Anderson haters, was that this sum was not simply Ken 'ripping off' the club for his own benefit.

I was asked a question the other day on here as to if I used twitter and if so why I didn't take on the anti-Anderson moonmen?  Well the answer is simply, they are either to entrenched in their mindset or frankly to dumb (or full of hatred) to know what they are even saying at times, then what is the point of trying at all?  You simply can't reason with the lynch mob mentality - they simply don't want to know

Fair play to Fred but I do think he's flogging a dead horse trying to speak to those who do not want to hear over on the Bolton News.

Personally I think Iles should either be professional and stick to being a reporter for the paper or jack in his job and be the twitter focal point he seems to be trying to become - his latest tweet being -

"Just spotted Ken Anderson's quote to @BBCRMsport... "I would say that the club is probably in the best financial position of any club in the Championship." Thoughts on this?"

He simply can't report impartially if he's surrounding himself with all his twitter anti-Anderson mates all the time in my opinion

He should be one thing or the other - he shouldn't try to be both.

It just can't be done.

I fully agree.

Rather than reporting on facts or digging out a story or even giving his own opinion, he's now clearly trying to whip up another wave of anger amongst his Twittertwats

Iles and I have crossed swords a few times (some privately, some not so!) on social media and I ended up having a fairly lengthy (but amicable) chat with him at Colls pre-season.

I suggested to him at the time that his anti-Ken stance could eventually see him excluded from the club. He confirmed that he was anti-Ken and had a few choice words to say about him, but then went on to express an opinion that he'd not be too disappointed to be barred from the club ans that such a move would even be beneficial to him.

Another message in this budding romance..

Frensic Fred

Another message to Casino on Wanderersways. Inner Circle Investments Ltd spent 472,275 on shares in its accounting year ended 30 September 2017. Whose shares and who did it pay it to? You might just find a strong clue in notes 27-29 of the 2017 audited accounts of Burnden Leisure

Anyone know what’s in the notes 27-29?

I've less of a problem with Marc Iles than some on here I've got a fairly balanced opinion of him, I think he's done some good stuff and some bad in his time reporting on us.

However it'll be interesting to see how he reacts to direct challenges to his work by KA. I expect tweets like this wont help, when it is now plain obvious that KA actually does scour Twitter for current opinions on his leadership!...

Wow. Most enlightening

He might as well get Shortland to write the pieces from now on then

Just seems to be needlessly inflammatory doesn't it? Surely he knows what sort of responses he'd get to that.

We know how he reacts. He ignores them and pretends they aren't directed at him!

When Iles goes and asks for football finance advice to write his articles I wonder where he goes?

Today’s letter from a fan about an abuse free zone.....fuck off bolton news just fuck off......that’s being a cunt for being a cuntsake

Saw that, I notice they only very very rarely publish a letter in that way (they must get loads, surely?) and they're usually absolute nonsense like that.

On the Marc Iles stuff.  BN have a new editor.  I've seen loads more blatant click bait articles published on BN since he took over.  Maybe MI is under orders to produce as much controversial stuff as possible to up the readership.  Local news is dying a slow death so it might be their last roll of the dice.

Actually saw an article on their main page the other day with the headline along the lines of "Terrible smell in Bolton Town Centre" and the story just said in its entirety: "Anyone know what it is?"

Mental!

Seems that way. He certainly has hugely changed tone recently. He's posting clearly incendiary tweets with "what do you guys think?" on the end....something he's never done before.

And I noted suddenly criticising the manager. In a clear attempt to appeal to the twitter mob. Even at the worst points he never said anything against Parky before.

Marc Iles and Firth are very close associates. It was firth relaying to iles from the high court many moons ago.

Says it all really.

Firth relayed it to everyone. Not sure he and Iles are associates - though wouldn't surprise me. Iles will go to anyone who can give him some dirt.

Having said that there are plenty of people knocking around who will happily weigh into Ken - people Iles will talk to. Our former manager for one.......

There was one this morning pretty much "traffic chaos on M61 - no one knows why"

If Iles see’s a ban from the club as a good thing when his sole job is to report on it then it shows what regard he has for the club and the stories he releases

going down as a martyr for the social media idiots rather than providing a balanced account of the goings on shows what a clown he is

Thing is if KA sees it as a continued attack on him from Iles, and that the editor seems happy to sanction his approach then it could result in the BN totally being banned from the ground, so no match reports, previews etc

Given that the footy is probably one of the main reasons for visiting the BN site, and that they are increasingly reliant on click-bait, having no story to report buggers them up on that front.

If I were the editor, I'd be telling Iles to wind his neck in
