Blondi
Even if the transfer embargo is lifted, we'll do well to attract anyone decent with our recent history of not paying players and I also don't trust Parky's eye for a player either. Sluffy
Football creditors (players wages) are guaranteed and as such players will always come to the club no matter what. The PFA will pay their wages on an ongoing basis if necessary and be reimbursed when the EFL/Sky money is due or from the Administrator/Liquidator if it ever got that far. It is illegal to trade if the club is insolvent, so clearly the players that come in will have to be in our ability to pay them range - so don't expect much more than frees and loans, or broken players like Steve Ireland attempting to make a comeback. The fat lady hasn't sung just yet and there's half a season to go, so fingers crossed things will get better for us soon.

Throwing anything onto the pitch has been an offence for a long time. The club & GMP will use CCTV retrospectively to arrest, convict and ban fans throwing stuff. I'm sure I said this last week. They also released a statement ahead of the Peterborough promotion game, warning that going onto the pitch could lead to the club being punished and banning orders/court appearances. I think people threatening to throw stuff will ultimately bottle it, given they'll be in a freezing cold, empty stadium rather than an online echo chamber, but the club won't be dishing out mass bans if they did. Depends where they land. If any objects hit the players or officials then they’re duty bound to dish out a ban.

Site Supporter Spider Posted January 18, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted January 18, 2019 Apart from quoting Oscar Wilde, it's hard to see any issues with what he's put Everyone has been paid (for now at least), and there's a hint that more players may arrive. Doubt it, but it would be nice. The thing is, you never hear current players moaning. Only that widgie at FGR has had a stab publicly about him so the cold evidence is that he is doing most things right on a business level. I expect he treads a fine line, but so do 80% of businesses. Get a result on Monday and things may start to really pick up.
