Tombwfc
15 minutes ago, Sluffy said: No it never was a secret ffs! It went through the books. The same books which showed that Holdsworth was paid £1,716,000 to his Sport Shield BWFC company the same year. I'm not sure I've ever defended Holdsworth, only that it seems odd that if he swindled Ken out of millions, Ken never seems to mention it. But in the spirit of facts... As per the accounts, the loan from Sport Shield was for £4m, which throughout the year accrued interest of £998,983. Both the loan and the interest were due in full on the 10th March 2018. The interest was waived as part of the new repayment deal with BluMarble, which saw us owe them the £4m plus 300k in interest due in September 2018. The very next paragraph of the article you keep posting makes reference to the fact the interest to SS was never paid. Where does anything say we paid SS or Deano £1.7m? The original loan from BluMarble to Holdsworth's SSBWFC was due for settlement just 16 days after Holdsworth took control of the club and which was defaulted on. The details as you quote were for the revised agreements. You are correct in what you say above other than there was a £250,000 payment was made by the club to Holdsworth's SSBWFC for charges incurred in effecting the change of ownership. It does seem that I had put too much belief in the factuality of the article promoted by Kieran Maguire the Lecture in Football Finance at Liverpool University, which I for one believed he wrote under a non de plume. Fair play to you for setting me straight.
Mounts Kipper
My big hope with KA is he finds us a big player to buy the club I would think if anyone can Ken can, bit Like Shinawatra did for Man City, its these types who mix in circles where they come into contact with big hitters. Fingers crossed Edited January 23, 2019 by Mounts Kipper

Fair play to you for setting me straight. I'm sure he's excellent at his job. He definitely knows far more than me about accounting, and has written a very fair summary of our situation. But it makes no mention of £1.7m being paid to anyone.
Moderators Casino Posted January 23, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 23, 2019 Tom, fwiw, I'm pleased if you've proved sluffy wrong And it's great he conceded No doubt he's off looking for more to come back with Much better this than where folk will repeat something as gospel when it's patently unproven but refuse to discuss it Then repeat the point a week later An aside Why do you think Iles hasn't run a piece on the trust board member? passmosster
There seem to be a view in some quarters that Admin is like a Dr. Barnado's for football clubs. Look at what's happening at Patisserie Valerie to dispel that notion. It would be tough and brutal. Assets that could easily raise cash like the Lostock training facility would be sold and the staff would be decimated. Even if we had 100 scouts in the BB & D League, there would be no-one to train the kids and nowhere to play. Anyway, the big creditor is Moonshift and I can't see them going for admin. If Ken reneges on the 5 million repayment the club passes into moonshifts hands and Kens history. That’s my understanding.

I mean, no-one knows who Roger Allanson is, and he has as much influence on the club as you do. It'd be a bit like doing a backpage that some bloke from LoV is dodgy. Great for a bit of whataboutery, but otherwise is anyone that arsed? Also, do we know exactly what he did yet? So, to answer your question, clicks, probably.
