It's difficult to judge the player's real quality, as he's been playing a game that doesn't suit him. Didn't say anything, was hoping in their position, they might have the wherewithal to approach relevant parties (indirectly if necessary) to try to achieve something), and maybe to offer some assurance that they were looking to achieve something to improve the situation.
