Is Allanson entitled to be "in talks" with someone hoping to sell a club owned by someone else?

In talks with someone supposedly looking to invest. Don't see a problem if it's legitimate.

How that would materialise, God knows.

Maybe waiting to see if administration occurs. Who knows.

He'll be on North West tonight later, have a watch and see what you think.

He came across as decent enough.

didn't they want a 10% stake for £16.17 or similar ?

Pretty much, based on their assumption (fed by a well-known, highly-respected, esteemed local journalist) that KA only paid £1 for the club anyway.

Two months ago (Nov 18) Allanson set up a company Bolton Wanderers Supporters Community Interest Company with the specific aim to "...take ownership of the club"

See Memorandum of Association

Objective number 1, on page 2, Section 5, Objectives, Powers and Limitation of Liabilities.

See PDF Download under Filing History.

Judging by the fact that Allansons don’t turn over enough to be audited and by what net assets they had in 2016 I’d guess that relatively - no. I’m sure he’s not struggling to afford a season ticket mind

I suppose that's why he's talking to folk with regard to investing.

Maybe a consortium?

A long way to go, but at least someone might be looking to do something positive.

Only in circumstances of an insolvent event.

So, they're not interested in investing with or buying from Ken, they want to pick at the bones of administration.

if This Rodger allanson wants to talk to potential investors he won’t have any access to accounts etc will he so what can he talk about?

Getting enough money together to at least make a viable offer?

If he can't get sufficient interested parties on board no point going any further.

Hope so, but this is merely an offshoot of the trust preparing for their assumed "first dibs" in the event of administration.

Maybe, at long last we'll discover woh the high net worth backers are and how much they're prepared to spunk up the UniBol walls.

I get the feeling there will be plenty after doing that.

Fwiw, I have a feeling that something will happen and someone will put an offer to him, but it'll be naff all like the figures currently being suggested.

He'll take it to the wire, admin/liquidation threatening etc then flog it.

Like dealing with the EU.

In that case, wouldn't the buyer be better off waiting for admin/liquidation & then getting it for less ?

Watched it and the bit that jumped out to me was, KA been contacted for a comment but no response.
