Sweaty Ken

Speaking of free tickets, had some toddler kicking my chair throughout, in fighting with fans and some wanker thought it appropriate to call my 17 year old a slag!

Too much drama off field and not enough entertainment on it, add in the 'owed' reward points on my season tickets and I've had enough... Certainly enough to stop me renewing and spending X amount.

As a side, the footage of the digger driver going skitz made me wonder what the outcome would've been had the players reacted in the same way; balls flying around the changing room without actually causing any damage.

As per Sky, Ken's spoken to Keith Andrews and whoever is the lead commentator today. Says he's in talks with two potential buyers, one abroad.

apparently these talks are why KA wasn't there last night

he should've brought them along to the game, assuming they exist

That video of the digger driver trashing a Travelodge is one of the best things I've ever seen online and that includes Gonzo's videos

Very convenient how he's "in talks" whenever there is crticism flying around the national media. Was meant to be on talksport when the Doidge stuff hit then suddenly "oh sorry can't come on I'm in talks with a buyer and I'll update on the website later".

Does anyone seriously believe Ken was in talks last night? Seriously?

Pretty sure it wasn’t literal, as in he was speaking to them when the game was on. Jebus

Couldn't be arsed last night, sub 10K crowd, a load of virgins whipped up by attention seekers on Twitter.

I've done my bit over the years, I'm out whilst all this shit goes on. Climbing on Nat's statue, coining the groundsman. All Ken's fault...

From where I sit, it looked as though the stewards over-reacted in an already hostile situation when the ESL teens tried to get one of their banners upstairs. Wading in was never going to end nicely when they're all fairly highly strung.
Once the banner got thrown up and unfurled, another Steward made his way down to the kids holding it up until a supervisor thought better of it and pulled him back.

It wasn’t the banner itself - they displayed it in both tiers without a problem - but in trying to get it upstairs, one of the yoof jumped over in to the exec boxes so quite rightly they wanted to shift him before anyone else followed suit.

Punching a female steward is a cunts trick in my book and all.

the steward in the east upper "tried" to get the banner off the lads on the front row, but they just moved it out of his reach, so he didn't bother trying again

don't blame him for not steaming in on the front rowof the upper tier, was sure someone was going to go over the edge when they were first trying to get it from lower to upper

(and if the stewards wanted to shift the lad out the box, they should've gone in the box, they weren't going to get him stood on the stairs)

Them last night were not protesters

It was like years back when the club offered free travel every little scrubber was out, and that seemed the case last night when watching some videos on Facebook.

all this is making it toxic in the stands and very unpleasant especially if you are taking kids along.

not being precious and not judging but if anything stops me going, itll be shit like last nights antics

and if that makes me a soft arse, so be it

its certainly my excuse not to go to sheffield and watch us get battered

Sheffield will be more of the same

the goons have a coach going for this, so it’s more of “fcuk the Andersons” throughout the game

one of ours has said no thanks as he wouldn’t be able to hold himself

Aye I’m glad my lad wasn’t there last night to be honest. A Dad and daughter I’ve never seen before were sat directly behind me screeching fuck the Andersons for the whole of the first half.

All I could see in the east stand was just kids after a kick off. I’d have probably been doing the same at their age without knowing or caring what it was I was actually booting off about.

It was the same cluster of kids that were dangling off the crossbar with a minute to play at the gillingham match. Just kids after a bit of action.

As for the protest outside, fair enough to anyone that had an actual reason and the energy to protest, but I’m still at a loss to what it actually will or has achieved and what it is the answer?

I’ve seen it all first hand over this way. Protesting gets you nowhere and creates a toxic atmosphere and people will stay away.

Then you’ve lost another generation of fans.

Ken said in his notes it won’t push him any faster to sell

Like you say fair enough to the ones who do it and tbf some did look fairly intelligent folk, but most seemed like rent a scally

the only thing I can think that a protest may acheive, is that IF KA has irons in the fire and angling for a pay day and that is a key part of negotiations, it may make him think "fuck this, I'll take a bit less and get the fuck out of here"

for arguements sake, he might have 2 choices - sell up asap and get a lump sum, or, hang around as long as he can paying himself what he can in fees and bonuses before lowering the price

IF either of those were the case, these protests may make him lower his expectations and cash out sooner

but they are the only scenarios where I think a protest may make a difference

And if I was buying the club, I would be waiting for us either to be relegated (not far off a certainty), or to go into admin as it would be a lot cheaper buying a league 1 club than a Championship club.

"Anyone watching on Sky we are for sale so come and buy us" - incredible that these folk actually think it works

And before those so entrenched in the Anti KA camp pipe up the folk there last night weren't protesting for the good of the club. they just wanted to cause shit.

The guys interviewed from the LOV etc fair enough wanting to change something although i still think its about them and not the club.

SJM was embarassing acting like he was banned when he had been told only media / freebies withdrawn. He is on a par with Keith Andrews for me in the "fuck off"  category

This "Apathy" thing has been coming on for a while (with me anyway), the KA thing and the shit that goes with it has just about killed it for me at the moment. Ive 2 season tickets (both on DD) and none got used last night, add this to Big E's 5 and probably a few hundred more (who i would suggest are quite passionate about the club like me) and the feeling in the ground gets worse. Ive been to as many aways as homes this season and thats not been many, and even they arent appealing at the moment due to the standard of performance and none scoring ability.

Ive organised coaches and mini buses from Atherton to many aways over the last few seasons, but the love is just not there at present, i will carry on with my season tickets as its my support of the club I love, and ill be there again, but Christ this is the worst i can remember it feeling in the 45 years of following and maybe social media is to blame for this.

Honestly dont know the answer and what would be best (apart from the Billionaire route obviously), but id honestly take a "Rangers" route if it meant i could watch a team playing with passion and a chance of winning, were the fans were all on side again.
