To be pedantic, Garside was not an employee, he was a Director.

My point, which you chose to completely ignore was not everything in every company is rosy but as long as it gets there as soon as it can and no laws are broken or anybody is worse off, then what does it really matter much to the man on the street like you or me?

Isn't it what is on the pitch that we are all interested in?

Maybe if Anderson hadn't been pushed into a bunker type mentality in the first place to feel he had to defend himself all the time from the constant sniping of those who had an agenda against him from the off, then perhaps he would have said less and things might have been sooner mended.  Who knows as he was never afforded that opportunity.  Instead the ST in particular and our esteemed reporter clearly were on the side of Team Dean completely ignoring the fact that he brought no new investment to the club, fixed up the catastrophic BluMarble loan against the clubs assets and took over £1.7 million out of the club in his first year there in so doing -

"Bolton also paid £33,000 a week in 2016/17 in interest charges, partly due to an unusual arrangement with a company called Sports Shield BWFC Limited, controlled by Dean Holdsworth, which charged a Wonga-Tastic 24% interest per annum..."

That works out at an eye watering £1,716,000 to Holdsworth from the club and that's on top of him being paid the clubs highest wages as the clubs CEO (and people are bitching solely about KA's £525,000 he took in that season accounts?)

http://priceoffootball.com/bolton-wanderers-whats-the-frequency-kenneth/

All water under the bridge now though and people believe what they want to - but that doesn't necessarily mean it is true though.

The atmosphere is toxic, everyone wants him to leave - including himself - and whatever happens he will forever be seen as the Devil by many for ever more.

All I can say is that the vast majority wanted Megson out and were overjoyed when Coyle replaced him.

Moral of the story - be careful for what you wish for, you just might get it.

See, I actually think that is worse. Gartside was an employee who was paid a salary by his boss, who was covering the losses. You might as well blame Johan Elmander.

Ken decides who gets paid what (and who doesn't) and he arbitrarily paid himself an amount, and a promotion bonus before he'd paid the players theirs. And he implied on numerous occasions that he hadn't been taking money out of the club, while pleading poverty about not being able to pay others what they are owed.

Once again, you are confusing the seasons when the payments and non payments happened.

I imagine you know, but did the trust have somebody around at first who was supposed to do their website

It's a shocker

We are still waiting for trust ambassador John McGinlays bio

Yeah they binned him off because he also wrote for LOV. Demanded impartiality which is hilarious

Let’s be honest anything that is Ken related is worse in your eyes.

Ken said in his email that his £525k 'consultancy fee' included a promotion bonus. The accounts which mention that payment are for the year ending 30th June 2017.

Promotion bonuses for the players were due to be paid on 30th June 2017, but weren't, with Ken blaming Holdsworth and cash flow issues. The players we retained received their money on the 4th July, while a later deadline of the 7th for the players we released, was again missed.

It's unclear whether this money was ever paid, as Dean Moxey's wife said last week that her husband and others are still owed money from that time. In July last year, Marc Iles wrote that the non-playing staff received their promotion bonuses several months overdue.

Dean Moxey's wife sounds like a reliable source

Hard to see exactly what she'd get out of telling what could be obviously proven to be a lie, on a private Twitter account, 18 months after the fact. Maybe the ST put her up to it.

But you can disregard that bit if you like - he still set his own bonus and paid it to himself before anyone else got theirs. Which is different to Gartside being paid whatever Eddie Davies felt he was worth, at a time when more than half of the first team squad were on well over 500k a year.

Who do you think deserved their bonus more?

moxey

or ken for saving the club?

Do we know when Ken paid himself? The date of that payment isn't in the accounts is it? So the bit about getting his before anyone else is made up, isn't it?

I can’t imagine anyone making up such a tale

No, not necessarily so.

"Being a director does not, of itself, make that person an employee of the company. A directorship is an office, not necessarily an employment. If, however, the company enters into a service contract with the director, the terms of which make the director an employee under the usual common law test, then the director becomes an employee".

How anyone can bring gartisde in to this is beyond me.

The man had more kick backs going on than a fuckin rodeo, Shit loads of companies registered at the Reebok and folded within months, Dodgy dealings with agents, high court appearances and featured in a bbc panaorama sting about his activities.

His dealings led to the club nearly going bust, with inconceivable contracts with companies and agents all over the show that were rinsing the club and eddies fortune dry.

Ken isn’t fit to lace the blokes boots in the dodgy chairman stakes.

But nobody gave a flying fuck because we were playing Bayern Munich.

Every chance i'm barking up the wrong tree but i'm convinced Eddie saw how much Garty was robbing the club blind when the court case was looming, covered it up best he could then said no more money.

Yes, Ken is dodgy but Gartside is the culprit in chief for the mess we find ourselves in

Well I did but only inadvertently to make the point that you are, that the vast majority of people aren't bothered what is going on inside the club (providing it keeps within the law) but what is happening on the pitch.  Nobody knew what was going on behind closed doors in the Davies/Gartside era - least of all our esteemed club reporter - yet he's been on Anderson's case from day one ffs!

He missed the fact that little old Bolton racked up a debt in the hundreds of millions comparable only with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid under Gartside yet is in like a shot to report such trivia that the training ground showers are running a bit cold under Anderson!

Maybe if he and the ST weren't so keen to nail Anderson from the start and allowed him to sort out Holdsworth BluMarble scam...

"Bolton also paid £33,000 a week in 2016/17 in interest charges, partly due to an unusual arrangement with a company called Sports Shield BWFC Limited, controlled by Dean Holdsworth, which charged a Wonga-Tastic 24% interest per annum..."

...as well as the financial basket case of a club he took on, then maybe everything might have turned out better for everyone - and certainly be less toxic than it is now.

Tombwfc of course as evidenced in his responses to my comments on here, takes exception to anything I've posted in respect of presenting an alternative view of Anderson based on the facts we know rather than hearsay.

I notice though he no longer seems to be disputing that Holdsworth received more than a million pounds from the BluMarble loan set up.

Everything jusy always boils down to the £525k consultancy fee.

Its their trump card and fail safe when any rational debate isn’t going their way.

Bet he wishes he hadn’t bothered with it now and siphoned it off somewhere else like most other business owners

It was at the time but obviously we know about it now. Bit like thinking Doidge was good...at the time

No it never was a secret ffs!

It went through the books.

The same books which showed that Holdsworth was paid £1,716,000 to his Sport Shield BWFC company the same year.

How is it that Anderson is crucified by many for taking out £525,000 yet nothing is mention by them - or more particularly by Iles and the ST- of Holdsworth taking out over three times that amount!!!

Clearly no agenda from them then?

Even if Anderson took out £525,000 per year for the three years he's been here it still over a hundred thousand less than Holdsworth took out in just from the BluMarble set up alone - and not counting anything else he received such as the highest paid wages of the staff for being the CEO - in just that year alone!

It's all deliberately been one way with the reporting and most of the fans have simply bought into what Iles and the ST were inferring/saying.

Hardly impartial though was it?
