Traf
The purchase price of our club won't be the deterrent to a buyer, it's how much they'd need to spend going forwards. It's not a se of have you got 15/20/25/30 million, depending on what you believe the price to be. It's have you got at least another 50m-plus to move the club on. True. By luck or judgment you can still go very far on good coaching, well managed and motivated players and an empowered, energised support base. gonzo
The fact we are dining at the table we are suggests we are punching well above our weight. Yet folk want to protest because we knocked some vegan ponce for a few quid. Pathetic. Edited January 17, 2019 by gonzo

Traf
Well, the legal action hasn't happened and as he strikes me as the litigious type, this suggests he might not actually have a case. In which case, he should fuck off and keep his carrot-crunching mouth shut.

Is it? All statistical analysis shows that spending correlates to success. As the SWFC chairman says there will always be exceptions but we were the exception last year in surviving. Our fans have zero concept for how poor we are now and how under resourced we are for the league we currently sit in. Hoping to be the 1% exception isn't going to last forever. A good example of an exception is Huddersfield. Promoted on a small budget, survived against all the odds. But you cannot keep defying the odds forever. And they haven't. Darragh MacAnthony is the owner of Peterborough United and here's his take on the sale of our club... "It’s a good buy as fans been used to so much nonsense & disappointment in recent times so any new owner comes in with low bar kinda scenario & good fan base/facilities to have a right go to turn it around imo." Even £25M isn't ridiculous for a debt free football club with our facilities. But the problem is after that its a hell of a job to move forwards. And nowadays spending £50M might just be enough to sustain a mid table championship position.

If someone claiming to have the credentials of Allenson approached the ST to become co opted, the ST would agree without bothering with background checks being made. My guess is the revelations are all news to the ST and they'll be running around coming up with a defence.
