United v Liverpool * 1987

a few Bury & Wigan games when the Whites didn't have a game 80's

Koln * v Munchengladbach 2016

United * v Chelsea 2017

United * v Burnley 2018

United * v Seville UCL

Spurs v United * FA cup semi 2018

United * v Chelsea FA cup final 2018

United * v Reading FA cup rd 3 2019

Fulham v United * 2019

United * v Cardiff 2019

City v United * League cup semi 2020

I'm my defence, one of my best mates is a United fan and sometimes as a spare, I do tag along if i fancy it and the whites haven't got a game. I may even tag along to the new Spurs stadium if he gets a spare in the ballot.

Cant believe I was in the Scouse *scoreboard) end in 1987 (again tagged along with a Scouse supporting mate at the time) Everton won the league that day, so small mercies. Peter Davenport scored in a 1-0 win for United, around 36k on. Ticket priced at £2.80. Still about 10% of my weekly YTS wage.

Mr Pinko! 😨 😷

Obviously, although wanted them to beat Burnley and Chelsea in the FA cup final.

No emotion No passion though, neutral games are fine, those Utd games are generally free, otherwise I wouldn't go.

A lot of Man ure on that list!!!!!!!!!!

Been to watch City in the FA Cup this year against Port Vale and Fulham father-in-law laws a City fan, we were out the cup and it was cheap. The fanzone thing City do for the kids is impressive.

Also watched Rochdale a couple of times when we were away in the Championship cos its close to home.

been a few places with a pal when he worked at Heineken on a freebie, never Old Trafford though

Done very few but 3 I did enjoy were Wigan v Northwich Vics in an FA Cup game in the 70s, Man U v Oldham replay in the FA cup at Maine Road,  think it was 1/4 Final and did the Classico last year the one with Suarez hatrick game.

I went to that Northwich game too.  I went to school with Wigan fans and was persuaded to go on the coach with mates to the Northwich away game.  Massive atmosphere,  proper kicking off inside and out, it got abandoned due to fog after about an hour.  Replayed 3 days later (a draw) then back to Wigan for replay.  Had no dislike whatsoever of Wigan until 83 when our paths started to cross.  Prior to that as a school kid I watched them often, along with other local teams.  Wigan had no comparison with the soulless club it is now, and it was one of those grounds where you could walk round 3 sides of the ground during the game to get a different view.

A proper random one was 1980, my parents were visiting relatives in the midlands and I only agreed to go if I could go to a game.  Looked at fixtures and picked Wolves v Watford FA Cup 5th round.  Andy Gray, John Barnes etc.  Dad dropped me off outside Molyneux (we were late so not much traffic); no tickets required, paid cash on gate.  Watford won 3-0 and he picked me up outside the ground at 5.  I was 14, God knows how all that worked with 30,000 fans leaving.  No phones etc.  I did same a year later but WBA v Palace, Bryan Robson scored.  Only 15k on and they were about 6th in top division.  Dad picked me up on that main road that we all walk down to get towards away end, hasnt changed a bit.

Been to a fair share of Everton games because me old man supports them. Nearly got thrown out of Goodison when we beat them 4-0.

A few games when I’ve been on a city break or away for work. I see more City games than Wanderers games unfortunately nowadays unfortunately  but they pay my mortgage 😁

Done loads of scottish games. Started to watch Livingston As a neutral cos of hospitality at work and then carried on watching them Out of choice when I changed jobs.

done a lot of hearts games with my mates up here as well as a neutral. It’s just a day out and the football sort of gets in the way as I’m really not arsed what happens at the game.

probably done 10/15 English grounds as a neutral as well again because of work. Just not the same when it doesn’t matter

Oddest one I did was with a Hull supporting mate and his lass (HBWHT? Like a dead heat in a zeppelin race!) at Reading as Hull were there and we were in the seated bit (this was back at Elm Park). Turns out a group of Reading fans had been jumped by some Hull and got twatted, with one in hospital. So at half time the police escorted his mates along the front of the stand in a sort of identity parade to pick out the culprits. I thought "they'll pick me even though I don't support Hull and didn't twat anyone". Fortunately not - I think the tits distracted them :)

Going to Naples on Friday and Salernitana player Livorno on Sunday. Can you usually pay on the day or do you have to sort em beforehand?

Napoli probably beforehand, Salernitana never been an issue for me. Don't ever recall a sellout at Stadio Arechi but there must have been some! Tickets easy to find everywhere - especially at a lot of the local bars. Club Antica Salerno are present in a few bars and are a good source but the one I can definitely recommend is Bar Luna in Torrione (my local whilst I am there). Usually no problem getting match tickets there but they can sometimes be funny buggers if you're a strange face on their turf. Thanks to missus' extended family, I am a 'local' now.
