The likes of Ben Marshall gave Millwall that added class, hes a local lad and I would think he would of preffered a loan move to the Macron, unfortunately his wages are out of our reach and ultimately they had better players especially in key areas and nothing to do with the ability of Harris and Parkinson in my opinion.

2nd goal.

Our corner.

Right to the far post .

At which point Clough runs the full length of the pitch along side their player.

Can some one explain why he didnt even attempt to tackle the guy.

Bloody Shocking !!!

Cos he was never in position to do so

Having now reflected on last night, I thought the following:

- played alright first half, they should have scored when the lad seemed to slip, Alf should have done better 1v1 and when

The luck is going your way the deflection that went wide goes in

- usual parky, plays bingo for the starting 11 as wholesale changes again

- second half as in inept as Derby away

- how can a set piece near their corner flag lead to a goal for them ? They were bombing forward at pace, we couldn't get back

- Taylor refused the over lap a few times as he is too slow, team after team are targeting that side

- little and Robinson could play as wingers, wing backs, both put a decent ball over

- we carry on that ting high balls to le fondre, are we thick?

- how many corners and set pieces went straight to their goalie ?

- 1 goal in 4 games when we are meant to be fighting for our lives

- Burke is surely better than certainly beevers and maybe wheater, but doesn't start

- clough and walker can only have been signed to appease us when madine went, but might as well have not bothered

- where is that Everton midfielder who was meant to be the dogs?

- Blackburn went down with 51 points last season, we are still 4 wins off that with 4 to play

-teams at the bottom are fighting, look at Barnsley eventually beating sheff Utd, Birmingham 3 wins on the bounce, Sunderland 4 points from last 2 away

Now, turning it on its head, IF we can go to Barnsley and win, this goes a long way to safety and presuming Birmingham don't win at Wolves, they will be really back in it with a tough run in.

However, lose and we then lose to wolves (more than likely), I see no way out of it.

So the battle of Oakwell it is then. If there is a god..........

Great so next season with no embargo i expect 6th

Embargo being gone is good. The problem is we have no money. So it isn’t really going to make much difference. We are losing money each season and our owner doesn’t have the pockets to fund us. So he has to make cuts. And sell players. Not invest in a good team.

Have to look to youth then. Sooner or later some of these league leading youngsters have to be given a chance.

Maybe they're just not old enough to have the twat it long lobotomy.

Or maybe they're shit

Last year's saviour can't get a kick in jumpers for goalposts

One or two ought to be ok for League 1. Even if they aren't the biggest talents on the planet if they are young, quick and fit they'll do all right. Whoever has the job of trying to bring us back up again needs to do it with a way if playing that might be able to be carried forward and fit for purpose in the Championship. Sheffield United and Millwall have done well by doing just that. Our way of playing was enough to bludgeon our way up but not suitable for a Championship where the standard of football, pace and physicality has rapidly evolved over past couple of years.

Might as well be playing in league 1 next season then.

Agree with most of this. We pressed high up in the first half and then they were quicker than us on the break.  We are poor at corners, seemed the MW goalie was waiting for it to come to him and it often did. I was in CU (west upper) and it was very quiet in there with people watching their devices for champs league info.

Up to the 1st goal we matched Millwall , possibly shaded it, but after the goal we were never coming back.

Fair fucks to Millwall, they were the best counter attacking side i've seen this season  - their attack really showed up the limitations of our forwards - & as we pushed forward, their 2nd was the most predictable goal ever.

At least the results went our way but i still can't see where any goals will come from to save us. By Saturday i'll be optimistic again...........probably.

Maybe. Fan5 knows we're skint. As do you and everybody else.

Sooner or later we have to give them a go. If that's league one so be it.

Iirc you once correctly expressed a belief that we will have to be a club that develops talent and sells some on. Need to try them first.

Of course, but its likely that our youngsters aren't better than what we're playing in the first team. That is just the reality. Its frustrating to see us play poorly, but there isn't always an answer to fix it.
