Sterling

Sterling’s problem as with loads of players today is that he’s a great athlete, quick, can run up and down all day.

Unfortunately he has a very poor technique at actually striking a football which is laughable.

Sat at home watching the game and someone I know summed it up very well in a text... “Has banana feet that lad”

He did, am not denying it. I’d love him to rip up trees for England too.

I just don’t see a natural footballer there.

Watched the highlights of the Eng V Wales game from Euro 2016 after last night on YouTube. He misses a absolutely sitter there with more bad technique.

He’s no Messi but he’s good enough to make the England team easily

Of course he's good enough. He plays for the champions of England and scored a hat full of goals this season. That doesn't mean he isn't technically flawed and fucking frustrating to watch.

I'd just start Rashford ahead of him.

I dont see him starting next game

to many bad touches and sitters missed

done the same for city this season to

yes, he's scored plenty, very lucky to be in the team he's in though

they have all the money in the world

Yet he still is in their team

I’d say that’s more than luck

he wont be for much longer

but he has been whilst they’ve had the pick of the globe

He’s plenty good enough for England. Plenty.

He is very frustrating as Jimmy says above and he’s not perfect, but Pep and Southgate are no mugs

I see the Rashford shouts, but I personally like him off fhe bench for now. Happy with either/or v Panama TBH

That's a rather nice summation :)

Just doesn't have the awareness or nous you need at the very top level for me; but used effectively he's someone not many (if any) teams would refuse a squad place to.  Not a starter for me though

banana feet ha ha . . . racist

If he's good enough for Guardiola, he's good enough for me.

Having said that, Vardy would have bagged the sitters missed by both.

Not a bad problem to have.

Forgot about Vardy.  He'd have had a panful last night.

We're certainly not bout up top

He's not the first player and he won't be the last who struggles replicating his club form for his national side.

This all day long.

Sterling performs very well at a higher level than last night.

Its a familiar issue with players wearing that England shirt.

Oh and the little clubber cavemen, just hating on every player at big cubs.......like the shouts for Cahill instead of Stones ffs. Anyone who doesn't want Stones in the England team, hates football.

Here comes the whopper...

Side stepping your shitty fishing trip its hardly hating on players at big clubs is it? Simply folk would rather see Rashford in the team than Sterling.

BTW, you're the first person to mention Stones after last nights game.

Pleased we won despite having technically bereft players and one of the worse managers in the tournament, Walker as a centre half just fuck off Southgate hes our most potent wing back and you play him at Centre Half.

No issue with that. Trip was outstanding. MOTM
