This picture he did with the Turkish president seemed to cause quite the stir. Maybe they are going through the it isn't fun to play for the national team anymore years that We have had for so long. Aye, It's all about context, as ever; but if he's complaining he doesn't get treated like a citizen then poses for images like that you can see why some thick skulls would use it against him. I agree with barry though - too easy to play the race card these days and most folk are a bit sick of it. I honestly don't know but has he publicly praised Germany and its people at any time? The black lads playing for England always copped abuse, mainly from the Chelsea contingent. Some of that lot were on a flight from Rio with the players and press after we had beaten Brazil 2-0 and John Barnes had scored a cracker.
