Had a wonderful three weeks at our place in Torrevieja. Had our temperatures checked on arrival and had to hand in a declaration about our general health and where we could be contacted etc.

Really quiet, but managed to go out most days for something to eat and a few drinks.

Was very pleased with the locals and their approach to mask and handwashing discipline - really showed up how we are doing it here. Lots of spot-checks by el plod in terms of bars etc checking that everyone was complying.

Felt safe.

Was weird being on a Ryanair plane and there being only 40-50 people on, mind.

That said, UK Border coppers couldn't give a shit about the form we had to complete about quaratine. Slack bastards.

Aye was in the arrivals hall getting my suitcase and overheard at least two separate people saying to their travelling mates that they weren't going to bother.

Can understand it really, if the border force don't give a shit it doesn't really impress upon some folk the severity of the risks involved (to them and to others).

Think very few folk been checked on and fines fished out are virtually non existent.

Definitely. We've not heard from anyone since getting back a week ago today. Not expecting to either tbf, but the wife is petrified of being fined so we're stopping in. Felt like a right badman earlier for nipping to the dog shit bin across the road (her insistence, at midnight) to drop off a few bags from around the garden as she won't take him for a walk either.

After a couple of nights in Llandudno and Friday night in Scarborough, we’ve been in York since yesterday dinner time. First time I’ve spent any considerable time here apart from rugby games and a fleeting visit as a kid. Think it’s the only place in the UK other than Edinburgh where I’ve visited and instantly thought ‘I could live here’. Range of bars and restaurants is unreal. Riverside an absolute picture in the sunshine. Even the buskers are a step above the norm.

Thx for the above advice chaps.... you set of cunts. 😂

Its rather lovely outside at the moment. Get yourself a quiet cottage in the sticks etc.

Take a jumper and enjoy the autumn shades.

At least you won't have to give a Bolton address when booking! :)

Are the canaries still quarantine territory?

Yes

Was supposed to go in a week but we can't do the quarantine when we come back. The wearing of masks over their is strict and at the moment all bars can not have any sort of entertainment on
