Gutted about the France quarantine

Hoping the ferry and camp allow us to push the booking back to next summer

Any ideas on places that you can still go / are unlikely to come off the list within the next 3 weeks?

stick with the uk for this year

Think you might be right

If we are heading the same way as France then these places will stop allowing us in, let alone worry about the quarantine when you get back

I thought we had cracked it booking end of August, looks like July was the one for an abroad trip

If this government had the ability or common sense to regionalise the need for quarantine then you’d still be going to France, utter fucking disgrace and ridiculous decision that you can’t go to France without quarantining. Another piss poor decision by this government, Johnson looking like the man who lets labour back into power.

How does that work?

isolate dirty Paris, but drive back through clean Calais?

If you are thinking of a UK holiday expect inflated prices and low availability.

Supply and demand I suppose. Maybe Traf can help you guys out?

my brother owns a static caravan on a nice park in SW Scotland.

The park owners yesterday told him they could get him £2.5k for a fortnights rental

He doesn't rent it out but the one next to him goes for about £600 a week normally.

Who needs a holiday that much?

I agree - it's amazing how things and public sentiment can change so quickly, it's only a few months ago that people were saying Boris and co will be here for at least 10 years, as Labour was such a shit option. Move on a few months and Labour have a decent person in charge (it seems) and Boris seems to be out of his depth. If/When the Tory party have to raise taxes, and they will to cover all the "free" money they've given out recently, the great unwashed will forget how they were helped, and they;ll suffer for it, and probably let Labour back in. I'm certainly no Boris fan, I cant stand the bloke and think he's piss poor as a leader (I know some have him as being "Churchillian" but I can't see it myself) - in the next few years, the Tory party is going to have to get rid of him, or they could see a ridiculous reversal at the next GE.

Although, as I've said, things can change very quickly, so who knows. The only thing that won't change is Boris and his massive disconnect with the general public

It's a bit like being told Brexit would lead to a land of milk and honey, then finding out it's just a 99p oven ready meal that has no cooking instructions.

But changing your opinion isn't allowed on here, so sit in the shit you created pal and suck it up.
