Manchester University bans clapping in favour of 'jazz hands'.

This even pisses me off - so Bolty I can only imagine that this makes you apoplectic with rage :-)

I can see a funny side. They must look an even more so right set of cunts doing that jazz hand wanky wave thing - a bit like some of the wooden geeks do on Millionaire.

As others have said elsewhere on threads far more established that this one  :angry2: let's see how long it lasts. I am sure they come up with this lunatic stuff just to be noticed and it seems that  in this particular case they have succeeded. They'll soon go back to being nondescript, Pot Noodle slurping non-entities spending most of the day contemplating both their navels and their future careers flipping burgers.

The institution concerned is ranked 5th in the UK and 29th in the world.

It's doubtful that any graduates from said institution go on to 'flip burgers' (ghastly Americanism there, btw) - unless they want to...

Jeremy Vine posted a picture of the WW1 trenches in reply to this story - why do they do this, tw*ts who haven't served, let alone in a conflict - insist on stealing the valour of others to support their shitty counters?

Haven't a fucking clue what most of that was about. Jibberish.

Ghastly Americanisms from me? You betcha.

This story comes round every 12 months. Utter bollocks designed to rile, and the usual suspects fall for it every time.

That's one way of looking at it. Another is that it's an idea that's gathered widespread support in certain quarters and despite its inherent ridiculousness - doesn't seem to be going away.

Aye alright. Did you know they're banning Christmas this year too, in case it offends any Muslims?

Aye but what will you do when the vegans take control and ban Cheese?

The pulse munching bastards have been plotting against the Moderators for years. I have always suspected it.

Banning Cheese will just be the start. You watch. We bacon eaters will be next.

That's not as stupid as it sounds, the last company I worked for refused to call it Christmas but refered to it as 'The Holiday Season' utter twatting dogshite, it's Christmas. Holiday seasosn is last week in June first week in Jully :D:D:D

I wanted my lad to go into a trade which he did. Never looked back.

He will soon be starting a job with a mining company working 26 weeks a year (1 week on, 1 week off) for close to as much as I earn for working between 50 and 60 hours a week, 48 weeks per year.

Mechanical Engineering fitter who has become a bit of a gearbox specialist. Happy as a pig in shit and enjoys buying a burger from University types on occasion.

There used to be a time when most parents wanted their kids to go to Uni. I seriously hope mine want to give it a wide berth

Sadly I'm feeling the same. If he wants to go then fine, but make sure he has a plan for what he wants to do.

If not then fuck it off. Report this morning saying a high percentage of employees feel they're over qualified. No shit Sherlock.

Yip. Many graduates now earn between 20-25k a year, I’m pretty sure a decent tradesman can earn almost double that.
