Smiley
Wife is thinking of us getting a VAX. Get a free steamer worth £70 with the Platinum. Anyone got one, or similar? Pros, cons, waste of time? Did have an old VAX about 20 years back, think we used it once or twice and couldn't be arsed with the mither! Oh, before I forget, can you just Vac with is and not use the water function if need be? Edited October 9, 2018 by Smiley
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 9, 2018 Site Supporter Share Posted October 9, 2018 (edited) I use the mother in law's vax occasionally for washing the carpet. To be honest they have limited effectiveness. Once had a demo from a chap with one of these high end jobs which knocked spots off the vax. Wasn't going to pay £2k for it though! The vax has limited drying capability too, meaning some form of heating or a warm day is required or it stays damp for a good while. If you're not needing to clean it often, I'd hire one of these jobs from the supermarket. Spend more money on a really good vacuum cleaner. Traf
Buy a decent vac. If your carpets are dirty, get Swanny on the job.
