bolton va va
Was it Vaz Te who only had to roll it in to the empty net at Blackburn but preferred to fall over ? That was disappointing.
gonzo
Blake missed bad one at Blackburn as well. Can still hear the thud of the ball twatting the advertisement hoarding. They ran up the other end and made it 3-1. cunts
MancWanderer
Here's my view on stewarding 70's - stewards were lovely - focussed on helping the disabled/unfortunate whilst the coppers waded in in and cracked heads of anyone causing a problem 80's - pretty much the same 90's - started to get a bit more important post-Hillsborough - coppers no longer able to be as forceful but stewards behaved as 'Nolan's' and did a lot of pointing and sheep-herding - go there, sit there, etc 00's - police became less visible and the stewards appeared to be the same lot on the doors of The Hacienda and started to flex their muscles and apply their own laws become cunts, particularly in the home areas of grounds 10's - away fans realise that stewards are up for it with the home fans so the not-rights have a go at away games and pretty much 50:50 on stewards and fans getting a right good pasting

Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted October 19, 2018 Site Supporter Share Posted October 19, 2018 One against us...Brett Ormerod for Southampton in the teatime game, probably kept us up that. Thanks Brett for Yourri, JJ et al.
tkonion
Roger Walker, can't remember who against but he must have been no more than 5 feet away from the middle of the Lever End goal and blasted it over the top. I think it was out first season in division 3 in the '80s.
Site Supporter MickyD Posted October 20, 2018 Site Supporter Share Posted October 20, 2018 Was it Marc Overmars or Freddie Ljunberg who smashed over the bar from about eight inches out?
marple whites
Stewarding was crazy today, when we equalise just let folk have a jump up and down on the track in front of the away end, and they will go back to there seats. Oh no, let's get into them and cause mayhem. Crazy

It’s not even exuberance, it’s blokes who are more than old enough to know better but fancy acting up on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t exactly a Port Vale away situation justifying that sort of thing, was it?

bolton va va
Some of the stewards were like our orange warriors & were definitely looking for trouble. It kicked off outside the ground when we were queueing to get in & a couple of Bolton fans were wrestled to the ground by mostly police but some of the stewards got over agressive with loads of police about. It was funny to see a great big group of people gather round to try & film it all & then when we were held up from getting in , a policewoman explained that it was because a police dog had been scared by the rumpus
