I don't think he's  great manager.

Theres no-one I can think of that I'd rather have in place under the current circumstances.

I'd have Big Sam or someone of that reputation. But we aren't getting Sam or anyone with his experience and ability.

Hang on - he'd have been fired for these results under normal circumstances with a normal budget. I agree.

And rightly so.

But we don't have those things here. We instead allegedly have senior players loaning younger ones their mortgage and supposed permanent signings leaving due to unpaid fees. I agree its a tough watch week in week out. But you'd think we'd be bottom and gone like we were 3 seasons ago. But we're not. Is that not good in itself?

If the first team would have been made up of kids from the youth team or u23's I'd have agreed with you but it's not, he admitted he's had a better squad this season but still we constantly lose, he nearly cocked it up in league one with a far bigger budget than anyone else. He's a dinosaur nobody plays this way anymore even mourinho is getting found out for his negative tactics.

The budget we had in league one was not really a budget. We couldn't spend anything. We were just playing a load of overrated players way too much. He managed to take a hopeless group and get them working for each other. He did the same last season.

This year I'd say we are only one or two away from being quite good. But the margins are thin in football. Without that goalscorer or dominant midfield type we will struggle.

If we were playing the kids we'd be well below Ipswich now. I think squad wise we're about at Ipswich's level, in all honesty.

Doesn’t matter he had no budget in league 1

he had good players at his disposal for that league, as the season went on he acquired more good players for that league ameobi, Alf karacan etc

the only thing I will give him credit for was turning madine around and getting shut of clough to bring better players in

You think Pearson would quit his current job to come?

Or do you think we can afford the compo to get him?

Who the fuck would want to come and manage here with the current state of affairs? I’d like to see Parky given a crack under stable ownership.

Don't think you can use players brought in to knock Parky he's scraping the barrel with our budget, seriously doubt whether he would choose most of them if things weren't so bad.

Having said that is he getting the most out of what we've got then no. But he's going nowhere.

And ken told him, "as I'm not the owner of Everton, it's a pointless discussion". :)

Nearly all those 'ins' are garbage

Too many useless players rather than half as many with just a little more quality

He doesnt know what he is doing and add his attrocious negative tactics and changing winning teams the guy is a clown

He's shopping in a bargain basement bin.

I think its fair to say he could have targeted some pace but seemingly tried to do that in the summer with Wildschutt etc...

I don't think this year he's got everything out of the group he has - but there are probably some mitigating factors behind some of that. We looked decent at the start.

I dont go to a lot of games but you are right it was better at the start; west brom we were lucky but played OK and against Reading we won but both teams were rubbish

Beating brum we were lucky so not that good at the start

I know we dont have the money but they are nearly all gash that he has brought in; the point I am making is we dont need 30 gash players when 20 almost gash would be better

Ken said that we cannot afford loans from premiership clubs or the best championship loans. He said the figures clubs paid for the better loans were "eye watering".

I think the problem is now that there is a lot of money at the top end of this league and if you have no money you are feeding on scraps. Football has changed in the past few decades but that change is only just catching up in the championship.
