No bad performances, with Lowe & Grounds both dead solid at full back, that's why Little is nowhere near the team

I liked little and ameobi together, but I know you never rated little and I dont think anybody on here watches us more than you

Either way, none of the parkyhaters would've played Lowe at right back, not many would've played Wilson in centre midfield

It's not perfect, far from it, but stoke aren't a bad team, whatever some might say, and we have a team with some real heart

On paper Stoke should be walking this league. Was impressed by Allen and Colbeck - as I was at their place - and McClen would walk in to any team in this division if weren’t for his ‘baggage’ but Afobe looked more like when he played for us than anything else, Ince shit out after a couple of challenges by Ameobi of all people, Williams and Shawcross are bobbins and all in all they just didn’t fancy it as we grew in to the game.

Watching from NSL, Butland’s second half save from Beevers was an absolute worldie, and the first half one wasn’t too shabby either. No way should he be playing in the Championship.

For us, I thought Wilson was excellent, Lowe looks far more settled at right back and Doidge is getting better with each game. As much as Vela played well, it’s not worth his effort in closing down if he’s the only one pressing high up the field. Makes you wonder who isn’t following instructions - is it Vela chasing everything at the expense of retaining the shape of the system or is he being let down by the rest of the team sitting back? Which way round does Parky want it?

4 points from 6 is pretty encouraging but it’ll be a big ask to get something at Hull with how they’re playing at the minute.

Because they really aren't any good, but they are unlikely to run out of money.

They said the same about us.

As soon as the coats family decide they don’t want to fund a sinking ship anymore it’s curtains.

They are on the same path as us. Same as West Brom, same as Southampton will be and Blackburn have been. There’s plenty in our group.

ten years in the sun, ten years out....

I don't dislike Little & think he's quite good going forward, but a liability defensively. For me, a full back needs to be a good defender first & foremost , & it's a bonus if he's good going forward.......not the other way round.

I'm with you, nearly all the way

I just think a team with as little forward ability as us, ideally needs something attacking from the full backs

Anyway, when's the first cut off for suspensions

Didn't there used to be one about now

Pleased with that 2nd half performance we certainly grew into the game and feel gutted we didn’t push for a winner around 60-70min when we were on top.

Good pressing from vela throughout and I much prefer Lowe at right back, which may leave a welcome headache for parky in finding a new role for Olkowski.

As for Stoke that is a toxic club only going one way, fuck em.

Absolutely superb, that’s why Parkinson grates on me because he is capable of turning out a performance

Stoke averaging 2 points recently, how???

worst team I’ve seen for a long time

Worse than Wigan, Hull, Rotherham, Sheff Wed against us? I don't think you are giving our defence and midfield enough credit.

Think Parky will get any credit for our point today & our victory against Rotherham ?

Not a chance .

Dogs temporarily off the scent.

Most of our players would throw themselves under a bus for him.

Onwards & upwards .

Were you happy with 1 up front and no opportunity to bring on Oz for the last 25 against a static defence? It's not black and white, great or crap. Credit for Lowe at right back and that the players follow instructions but simply too negative, we could have lost that game in the 1st 20 minutes, you must agree.

Probably on a par with Sheffield then

our defence & midfield did superb so much energy

but they were so disjointed so many wayward passes and so nervous on the ball

Agreed they are reliant on coates family, but money wise they are in a different league to eddie

They must have some really big earners in that side. A couple of years without parachute payments and I wonder how long Coates will keep pouring money in

Yes but we have come on loads

couple of weeks back we would of lost that

just a Shame we didn’t play like that in previous games

We were just as good v Leeds though. Leeds get 1 moment of quality, we lose. Today McLean puts a volley wide, we draw. Results can go either way, I've never doubted the commitment of this squad, just the manager's lack of committment to picking creative players.

Absolutely bang on regarding vela.

Im not sure it’s a Parkinson tactic and actually he’s going against guidelines.

some matches we have gone gung ho and everyone is pressing. Like leeds. More often than not it’s him on his own running round like Michael johansen trying to get the ball, like today.

Real credit to the team for the last 2 games.  Given their all and bodies on the line.  Shame we haven't done that at home in a number of the other games where opponents were poor.

stokies weren't happy with their lot were they ??  Shame for you and hopefully it will continue.

3 tough games for us now, could do with winning at least 1.

however, let's at least take some confidence from the last 2...........we can do it !

Great points Matt. A couple of notes...Colbeck plays for Forest, the stoke midfielder is right footed, ex Brentford, quality player. Agree on Vela, everyone saying he played well based on never having the ball. It's bizarre, its like he runs around to avoid getting possession. Oz can do all of that but can beat a man, pass and shoot too.

There are two similarities between vela and the Turk

They play for bolton and don't play often

That's the end of it

Apologies, turns out number 38 was Ryan Woods but at least you knew who I meant! All gingers look the same etc. He could have played in a dinner suit at their place, just sits in the centre circle and knocks the ball about with Allen. Nowt in front of him though. Made me chuckle when the Stoke fans were singing about Rowett’s football being shite, as if they played like Barcelona under Pulis or Hughes.
