Apologies, turns out number 38 was Ryan Woods but at least you knew who I meant! All gingers look the same etc. He could have played in a dinner suit at their place, just sits in the centre circle and knocks the ball about with Allen. Nowt in front of him though. Made me chuckle when the Stoke fans were singing about Rowett’s football being shite, as if they played like Barcelona under Pulis or Hughes.

I said the same during the game. They seem to base their dissatisfaction entirely on Bojan not playing. It's not as if they spent 90 minutes launching it to crouch. Great to see how bad Afobe still is, what a poor player, so bad for us and I wouldn't have him now.

Were you happy with 1 up front and no opportunity to bring on Oz for the last 25 against a static defence? It's not black and white, great or crap. Credit for Lowe at right back and that the players follow instructions but simply too negative, we could have lost that game in the 1st 20 minutes, you must agree.

Your living in a parallel universe where our players are as good as theirs

Do you imagine for one minute that toe to toe we would have won that game.

Very proud of the commitment today - feared the worst when I saw Grounds v Ince but he handled the situation well always showing the outside. Joe Allen bossed the opening 25 mins constantly finding space but once we got to grips with his movement Stoke offered little.  Brilliant performances from Vela given two fouls awarded against him within first 7 mins meant he had to curb his aggression thereafter. Sammie was excellent and Jason Lowe must remain at right back were he shows his Premiership experience whilst at Rovers rather than Pav who has lost confidence after a terrific start. Doidge has potential but was out muscled/out thought by Shawcross. Balls played down the channel would have helped but I would persevere with him and Donaldson though he desperately needs a goal offers the team more than Magennis.

It ain`t pretty and will continue to be a struggle but very positive.......

He had a run and delivered nowt. Maybe he will if given another chance?

Play him in the cup game and see if he comes good.

As we all know the cup is irrelevant, James Henry was our MOM in 2 games v Palace. I've nothing against Williams, great attitude, but he has had a run of about 20 games and 'delivered nowt'. I'm genuinely interested why 1 gets chance after chance whilst never creating or shooting and another doesn't even get on the bench even though he has a track record of goals and assists.

He wouldn't be on his own

I heard one loon today demanding just that

His justification being...luton do it

Sat with 5 Stokies in the box and they all said we should have won. I don’t give a fuck about their problems, they were shite today. If we carry on like today I’m much more optimistic about the next few months. COYW.

Not at all. You are falling into the trap of over rating stokes performance on the day, ince etc well under par. If Oz comes on for Vela or Donaldson for the last 20 minutes and starts passing to a white shirt in their half, or even having a shot, does that mean stoke will get more possession? I don't get that thinking at all.

Oz as had chances to stake his claim to a shirt and played shite

If pp started/brought him on we would of lost imo he's just not very good

Not going to fall out about Ozumer I think some games he could influence & I'm not an Oz critic

Today was about getting something from the game which we did .

Gambling all on a change in tactics for the last twenty minutes was not on today & Parkinson called it right.

Or if there's a ball 7 feet in the air, they win it

And instead of it going towards their goal, it's going towards ours

I'm not a vela lover, but he was the heartbeat of a great team effort

Vela never wins a header or a tackle, I just don't see it. If he was the heartbeat of the team why didn't he pass, shoot, tackle or win a header?

Genuine question, does that mean he also called it right at Brentford, Sheff Wed and v Leeds, or is it just that they nicked a goal and Stoke missed?

In some games I agree

But against the more physical/stronger teams it would be a waste

But Vela isn't physical or strong, he routinely gets dispossessed by the likes of Woods and Allen who are smaller than him. I just don't see what others see, I would take a wild chance with a player that can pass and shoot and even beat a man.
