Good game yesterday. They were there for the taking and I think it came to a point 2nd half that if anyone was gonna nick it, it would be us. I see we have now conceded less than Norwich this season and quite a few others. Sadly we are the lowest scorers though and if any reinforcements are made in Jan then priority has to be a striker and a creative type. Saying all that i also like Doidge and hope PP sticks with him. We look a better team with him in Crowd were very good at backing the team yesterday Worst teams we've played for me are Rotherham, Hull, Wigan, Blackburn then Swansea and Stoke. So annoying not to get at least 10 points from those. You mention the crowd, I was embarrassed how quiet and disinterested it was in the first half despite being on te back of a win 3 days earlier. Really poor support that woke up a bit once it thought we might not lose.

We take one and sometimes two passes too many when shifting the ball wide. The opposition have usually congregated around the wide man by the time we've got the ball there and thus its difficult to get a really dangerous cross in. We've not had someone who can pick out a pass from the centre of the park to the feet of an wide man moving forward since Spearing. Williams, Vela, O'Neill and Wilson all have their attributes but that vision isn't one of them. The addition of that one type of player would, in my opinion, unlock more goals and not overly detract from our defensive side. To be fair, Stoke often appeared to have a similar problem yesterday - hence their failure to expose us out wide in a way other Championship sides have tended to do this last 18 months. Having said all that I was impressed by Vela's hard work yesterday and remain impressed with Lowe as a right back. As things stand it looks like it's between the current bottom four with Millwall and Wigan coming in to it if they go on a dreadful run. The experience of last year's escape will hopefully prove helpful once we get to April, provided we're still in the scrap. You mean we need Oztumer. No need to sign anyone, Parky just wants taller players that run and can't shoot or pass.
RUREADY2ROLL
Watching those highlights Sammy was head and shoulders above anybody on the pitch Doidge looked very poor but Vela was very good Good performance but it just shows how much we need that goal scorer

Traf
Ameobi had another of his very disinterested games. Doidge worked his bollocks off and needs a bit of luck.

Williams could do, if his decision making wasn't so poor/ponderous

Traf
I wanted the Turk to be that player and although I don't think he's had a fair crack of the whip to prove himself, he's become the architect of his own downfall by consistently being poor on dead ball delivery. Moderators Zico Posted January 1, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 1, 2019 Not sure about consistently, he's not played in however long and barely managed two starts in a row (if at all) Don't think he was ever touted as a dead ball specialist mind

Practice, practice, practice. An extra 2 hours after training each day can work wonders. If he wants to get in the team he needs to make himself indispensable, and this is the best route for him. Maybe that's what PP meant by this https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17322864.why-bolton-stars-erhun-oztumer-and-yanic-wildschut-are-out-of-favour/ What a boring generic article though, you could apply that to a few players in the squad, I much prefer Iles when he's able to have pops at KA
