Also the Spanish health system is excellent and cost of living very reasonable. Each to their own though. Tempting but I remember past encounters with the Camorra so no thanks. Spain's the place. Coppers with big fuck off batons and no hesitation is using them (as BWFC fans know) mean that it's generally peaceful and relatively crime free (you can find the Ruski mafia down in Puerto Banus if you look hard enough). Smart ones know to be far enough away from 'ex-pats paradise' to enjoy authentic Spain but be within reach of a pint of bitter and fish and chips if the mood takes.
