It will be interesting how the Bolton News now reacts.

They will just put more of those virus filled pop up adverts all over the site no doubt.

Hes been angling for this for a while, cant believe they waited so long.

I wouldnt have banned him, though he deserves to be

He's a thick as fuck, utter cockend, in the pocket of a few who won't be happy til we are playing down at eagley

Constantly poking Anderson for a reaction

Now he's got it

So, he's won

I broadly agree with Traf in that he's done a lot of good over the last few years in very trying circumstances that are probably well beyond what was advertised in his job description.

Recently he's probably overstepped the mark a bit. My disagreement is in the way it has been interpreted and treated by "the club", though that means KA really.

Maybe BN will have a word with him in private about some of his conduct especially as his personal account doubles as his professional one, but I'm extremely glad they've come out in public support of him, so they bloody should.

All this will lead to more 'boring' reporting on the club and sticking to the official club line no doubt - which isn't a good thing - but certainly better than a loose cannon shit stirring on social media, being biased in his beliefs and not really understanding financial and business workings and reality

I doubt that will now cease

Fair enough

In an ideal world, our press officer will surely have been warning him to tone it down before a ban has been imposed

Either way, however numb he is, he knew he was playing with fire

So he's probably stood, brush in hand, thinking job done

Ken would've been better off saying, that thumb headed twat wants me to ban him, I ain't playing his game

Obviously they couldn't say otherwise could they, after all his bosses have allowed him to report and tweet all this time without pulling him up about it.

One of the lines in the article states this -

"we are here to report what happens at the club for the thousands of fans across Bolton and beyond"

Of course they aren't, they are here to make money for the business they work for and one of the ways they do that is to report on the local club.  If no one wanted to read about it do you think they would still report about it - of course they wouldn't.

Clearly they've been delighted about all the clicks that as been generated recently!

Probably been their busiest week or two in ages and today is obviously their bonanza day.

They'd throw Iles under the bus in a second if he wasn't getting any clicks and the fool has simply been utterly unprofessional how he's gone about it.

If they really want to stand by Iles then blank the club and refuse to report on it until Iles is reinstated.

Let's see how big their bollocks are - or is it just empty words as I fully suspect.

Out of interest, could he continue the game by turning up to work as a summariser for the Radio?

Don't think so.

I think he's been banned full stop. The BN are welcome to replace him.

His ban is down to Twitter shit-stirring, not his work for the rag.

He was warned yesterday apparently and still posted shite today.

An official from the club met up with senior representatives from the Bolton News yesterday to outline our position and you can only imagine my disappointment and frustration when Marc published a tweet this morning which we considered to be unprofessional. To paraphrase Marc’s ‘Enough Is Enough’ paraphrase I decided to suspend his club media privileges until we can find a solution that is beneficial to the long term future of the club.

As I have reiterated to them, this stance does not apply to the Bolton News nor its other members of staff who are welcome to undertake their duties.

Ken 1

Ben 0

You really think that? BEN now have national media tweeting about it, more clicks more ads. Majority of Iles stories except match report he can do from home. It’s pathetic tit for tat by both, but locally and nationally, bar this website, people will be on the side of the BEN.

I’m bored with the whole thing tbh. I agree Iles has and agenda to a point but don’t trust Ken at all.

Mileage in that.

I noticed for the first time the other day that national radio reported Ken had paid the wages. It should have been a plus for Ken, if the club had responded well to it.

Now they've done this, the national story will be more negative.

Not great.
