still searching for their operators, just shoot the fuckers from the sky ffs

Absolutely.

One mon explaining that they're classified as aircraft and law may need to be changed to allow them to be shot.

FFS, get the police helicopter out of the way, and blam it.

The runway is still closed; ridiculous.

as usual, it would have been sorted no problem years ago

You're not so far off. One lot (NASA?) Is developing another craft that shoots a big net over unwelcome drones!

It's also currently illegal to interfere with the signal apparently.

A bloke who has the technology employed at a prison in Guernsey can't yet sell it here!

Some emergency bills through parliament needed.

We get them regularly dropping packages of drugs/phones  etc off, we have night stff doing drone patrols, only a matter of time before they're dropping firearms in one of our establishments

Seen one method where they hit the drone with a laser which causes the battery to overheat and set alight.

Perhaps you need a laser pen each!

Shoot them down. If not, surely there is a way of interfering with the signal to bring them down?

Madness. And now watch idiots do this all over the place for laughs.....

Shooting them down seems a great idea but where does the bullet go when you miss? Some poor fucker up a ladder a mile away gets a bullet in the back.

Use a shot gun as if hunting pheasants.

Surely on a run way there aren't too many folk you risk hitting.

Or perhaps fly another drone into the enemy ones.

Yeah - that is why I thought there must be someway to block the radio signal and crash the things....surely that tech exists?

The only thing that stops a bad bellend with a drone is a good bellend with a drone?

Put a shout out for expert conkerers of years past to get on the case - the drones would soon meet a 'sticky' end.

We used to play a game called 'sticky' as kids, it was like 'tag' but the tagging was done by throwing sticks at each other. Well, it was actually just chucking sticks at each other, no tagging to speak of really.

One lad got clunked on the head and knocked clean out, only to suddenly come to, spring upright and exclaim "I've just remembered I saw a load of toddies in some bushes yesterday" - game abandoned.

GPS blocking, blocks all GPS around.

People seem to think these things are hovering at 100 feet when they go to thousands of feet high.
