And to be honest, why would the club feel the need to tell Iles who was paying the wages?

You also infer Iles got hisinfo from Parky...am I reading you right?

The story has been widely reported in other media.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6555275/Bolton-Wanderers-banned-playing-Christian-Doidge-Remi-Matthews-transfer-embargo.html

Both local and national BBC sites as well.

There are any number of ‘frustrated’ staff that could have leaked the info but to be honest I suspect that things like this are difficult to keep from the media.

Excluding that checkatrade fiasco

Actually yeah, that shit counted as a first team game didn't it.

The ultimate “well when else are we going to play them?”

First place we went in was nearly a fiver a pint, had a mini Thai restaurant in one corner and a uni politics lecture in another.  Bizarre night, all in all.

Don't speak too soon! Lovely place Cheltenham town centre, though me and my cousin did get thrown out of a pub for "talking too loud"

I boycotted that competition, in protest over the U21 thing, otherwise I might have gone myself! Did we take many?

Local reporter speaks to manager about Upcoming FA Cup tie. Manager says 3 players may not be available due to embargo. Local reporter speaks to EFL ( down the road in Preston) EFL confirm reasons. Local reporter reports news as it’s his job.

Local reporter gets criticised for doing his job.

I need to find some sort of middle ground with this club at the moment. Anytime something like this happens the reaction on social media is hysterical fury, on here there's a kind of blasé nonchalance about it all.

We need a fanzine...

I boycotted the home games but I figured we were playing another first team so it was fair game (which I think would have been a more successful protest overall). I was amazed how many went to be honest, at least a couple of hundred.

This is a safe haven of normal people with a rationl view either way. On this subject anyway.

Ive said before but social media, iles and co as well as LA’s ballooning and the chairman’s notes have generated a lot of this ill feeling. It’s quite a ridiculous situation.

People think they know what’s going on but they don’t.

I'd go for most of that. What I would say different is it is hard to believe the situation is under control though?

By no means do I think it’s under control, it never has been either, it’s just an ongoing battle to keep the afloat, pay everyone everything they are owed and remain competitive on the pitch.

Theres not a business man in the land that could pull that off without investment, nevermind a journeyman like KA.

To me he’s done a good job at robbing Peter to pay Paul for the past couple of seasons and managing to somehow stop it all imploding on the pitch. But as I and many other have said before countless times, it can’t carry on forever.

They pulled off miracle deals in that league 1 season that saw us get promoted, and same last season. They’ve not been so quite as astute or even lucky this time and it’s all going to shit.

It was always going to end up a mess until money came in. If you personally think another man could run the club better without cash then fair enough. Trouble is these miracle working football club owners are in short supply and nobody wants to give us any money.

So we are stuck in the current plight. The Andersons want out but there’s no fucker wants in bar some dicks at the ST. And if you think it’s a mess now, wait till those fuckers are in charge and the shit properly hits the fan.

It’s a complete mess and I wouldn’t be surprised to see us go under after the points cut off date. It was only going to ever end this way without cash.

Yeah, but he should step aside and let someone else do it.

Is that true though? According to Ken, there have been lots of interest over the last couple of years, but none (even the two bids that initially excited him a few months ago) have provided "proof of the their ability to finance any proposed purchase". Nobody knows what his requirements are, but the current ownership have never shown the ability to finance anything either. Presumably it amounts to more than just giving Ken his £1 back and letting him move on.

Anderson is into BWFC for far more than a quid

i'd estimate its around 5 million

in fact, at the moment, it looks like admin is probably HIS best option for getting something back, unless im missing something obvious

Yep. He’s in to the club for nothing more than his financial commitments

not local, no affinity, no previous links. He’s currently holding on to the hope that he will recoup what he’s put in through a sale

if no sale continues to be on the horizon it’s only a matter of time before he pulls his very limited financial support and we’re in admin

I don't think you are and that's probably about right.

It all closed in on KA pretty quickly

Eddie Davies lends him £5m in his personal name which he then puts into the club

Eddie Davies passes away shortly after

The form/results of the team falls off a cliff

Don't think he helped himself going public on the 2 bids mind. May have even put the bidders off.
