Genuine question gets a genuine answer

Missed a couple last season due to being on holiday

About ten in 40 odd years, mostly shitty cup games, but there was no way I was missing today

Nowt else in my life and I'd still not want to be captain med

Respect for that. Today was the first competitive game I've missed since a cup quarter final v arsenal when I watched it on TV and stelios scored the winner. I honestly cant remember the last league game i missed, probably in the 80s. But I've reached the end with parky, not to mention the FA cup which is being ruined by the FA with the lack of 3pm kick offs and scrapping of replays etc etc. Todays starting line up another slap in the face for the 4k that attended. I just can't get behind him any more, shit fan or not.

Mad turnaround between first half and second. Can’t believe how dangerous we looked coming forward and Magennis took his goals really well. Their second was a bit soft but even the defence was a big improvement on the second half.

Murphy was excellent and Buckley probably had his best ever game for us with Noone not far behind.

Part of me wants Gillingham/Accrington/Wimbledon at home and a chance of progression, but it wouldn’t be unfair if we were delighted with an away game at Chelsea/Liverpool/Tottenham/Arsenal/Man Utd. A couple of draws would be real killers though, Swansea away or anything like that.

Only downside of the day was we were 7/1 at 0-1 and forgot my Cvc number for £20 to win £140.

Forgot to check on the half time odds, glad I didn’t miss the boat on that one. I did however have £50 on us to win at pretty much evens (had £40 at 17/20 when the draw came out and a tenner this morning at 11/10) so that’s 50 quid towards the 4th round for me.

Also had a tenner on Walsall to win at 10/3. Managed to win the fastest finger first contest with SkyBet and cashed out as our equalised hit the net for £16 profit.

A successful day!

Agree with both but I don’t see him changing it in the league. Even though we all know he should

in league 1 and instances like today he backs the team to be better than the opposition. Gives them the freedom to go and play. Take the shackles off really

in this league he’s basically telling everyone by how he sets up we’re better than no one and anything we get we’ve pinched.

He just needs to be braver in his selections, the formation and our approach to games. We’re going down with the current approach but I’d rather go down fighting with a bloody nose than curling up and rolling over

He set up as normal in the first half and it was the usual crap, I don't know what happened at half time, maybe some of the players had a word but second half was like watching something I hadn't seen all season. The second half today proved that we have decent players but a shite manager I'm sure David Lee could get a tune out of these lads. Let's see what the football master sets up like next weekend

What a difference playing players in their correct positions, Noone on left, Buckley on right and suddenly we get crosses in where normally we hit the first man, hope he sees it for the Bristol game.

Totally agree plus 2 up top

Why start a game against a team who are 15th in a lower division with 1 man up top, come on party if we are going down then let's give it a go attacking

In fairness I don’t think there’s anything negative in playing up top if the three behind are willing to push on, two of which were dragged off at half time.

Would like to have been a fly on the wall to see the dressing room at half time

It’s football not a prison sentence. Go if you fancy it. If you’ve got something else on, don’t.

Generally, I’m done with cup games.

And if my some miracle we get a Wembley trip out of all this shite I’ll still be waving my season ticket about to get myself a ticket.

And I wouldn’t give a shiny shite what any self proclaimed uber fan on here thought.

Well said. I've done all the dreary 3rd round home ties v Swansea, Grimsby etc over past few years. I'll be giving up a full day tomorrow coaching a group of kids through an athletics comp, have a missus at home who puts up with that and me doing stuff like going to Hull the other day. She deserved a bit of time today. Hope that's ok with you HomerJay, we all have our reasons for going and not going when we do.

Lots of other fans have lots of reasons too. They don't have 30% of their average gate turn up to an fa cup game.

Plus, my point is aimed at folk who piss and moan about the club not spending money, not paying staff, not paying bills, being on the bring of admin, moan at Anderson trying to promote tickets, and half season tickets. But then are also the first to decide to watch Corry on catch-up instead...

Sorry, but I thought that was fairly obvious.

Just watched the goals back on BBC Red Button. Hadn’t realised at the time but I’ve got to give a massive shout to Noone setting up the first four goals. Hopefully it’ll give him a big confidence boost and he can kick on a bit from here.

How far through are our goals?

Seems beeb are only going to show the goals at the end of programme.

If you’ve got a smart TV (doesn’t work on Sky for some reason, I had to switch the TV source to normal Freeview), just go on Red Button then Sport and scroll down and you can select individual games.

Watched the highlights noones crossing was spot on and played to magennis strength but we all know parky will revert to type next game and play 1up top and wingers on the wrong wing.

It sounds like he's suggested Magennis won't be playing next game, Burnden Aces quote Parky as saying he has to work harder to regain his starting place.

Honestly never thought Noone had the type of crossing in him that I saw on those highlights, one of most frustrating players in recent seasons for me.

Agreed but in his defence Parky as played him on the opposite wing all season. If he doesn't play magennis then her a bigger fool then I think he is magennis will be full of confidence now.

When we signed him Cardiff fans were full of praise for the lad and says he has so much to offer

if he’s given game time and played in correct position he will improve

I’d put ameobi on bench next game too

That quote was on bbc gmr as well.

Still i would start him next game if we go with 2 strikers.

Bit worrying that Parky substituted Wildshut at HT because he had an ankle injury rarther than he is utterly gash & ineffective

If Parky didnt learn anything yesterday about the way forward then we are truly knackered.......and I have defended him countless times on here and in the pub

Here's hoping ......Megennis /Murphy/Noone on the left wing next match...
