I’m just delighted to stay at 10mph for the one 7.5km road run a week that I do. Just tried to replicate it and only managed to do 4.4km in 28 minutes. Too much pick and mix at the cinema last night.

That said, my dream (and I mean dream) weight when I started to try and sort my shit out in June 2014 was 181 pounds - purely because it meant I could stay my weight started with “12 stone...” - and I’m on 183/6 at the minute with the hope of dropping those last two (and maybe a couple more) before holiday at the end of June. Not bad from a starting weight of 255 pounds.

255 to 183?

Chapeau, mon ami.

Brilliant. That's some achievement. As is what you posted above being able to sustain 10mph for 7.5km. That's 6 min per mile pace. I can just about do that for a mile!!!

Yesterday I ran Hackney Half Marathon in 1:35:02. An average pace of 7.15 min/mile or 8.25 mph

Congratulations. Some stickability that.

Done my first ParkRun this morning and (just about) lived to tell the tale. Didn’t realise how many people turned up to these things, mad as fuck. Glad I’m off boozing for the day now (depending on trains it’ll be Morecambe, Lancaster, Preston or, god forbid, Wigan)

I too clocked in at 82.4k this morning so 5 pounds gone or to put it another way 2.75% of my body weight. I just hope I'm not ill.

I weigh myself all the time

I'm always lightest Friday evening

Friday morning surely? Use electronic scales on t’lad’s laminate flooring but they can be proper erratic so aim to just get the same weight 3 times out of 5 goes.

Had a wonky ankle that's meant my running went a bit shit and was drinking and eating more in June with week off and struggled to get going again

Then did a 10k this morning round the ethiad and got a PB of 52:20

Definitely gives you a lift doing a proper event

Got the Salford 10k in September, if can stay injury free and healthier in the run up to it I'd be aiming for sub 50, big ask, but aim high and all that  though really will be happy if I can beat the time from today

Probably do some park runs in the build up top as still never done one

My running and fitness has fallen off the wagon big style since end of March with back issues. But since the weather has been half decent - using the back garden as my gym. Got some of those parallel bars from Aldi for £6 the other week. Chest and neck are fooked at the minute from using them. Definitely missing my 5-a-side runouts. They use to eat calories for fun. Need to crack back on with some running again. Working from home also been a nightmare. Our fridge keeps whispering to me. Plus peanut butter and jam crackers are going to be the death of me.

To those who've cleared some serious weight over the years and since Xmas - well done. All about sustaining it now - that's the harder task IMO.

That’s great going mate 👍🏻

Last two weeks before I came away I hammered it. 6k 3-4 times a week out on the road.

Kind of lose interest in the gym though, which is fine for Weight loss but muscle mass is depleted :(

hoping to do the 10k run the lights later this month

2nd 10k PB of the year at Salford this morning, 51:10, and get the weight well under 13 stone, as low as 12 stone 8

That'll do for 2019

Next year's aim is going to either be a sub 50 10k which might be a stretch, or a half marathon, last one I did was in 2004 in 1h 59m

Or both

Ace work zico. I’m a week in being back on it after falling well off the wagon for a good few weeks. Find it amazing how the mind can just let go the way it does.

When I was bang on it last year and earlier this year I never thought I’d re enter the pie zone but I was balls deep before I knew it. Forgetting to prep my lunch then being starving and opting for the pies instead of a salad becoming a daily thing.

Just drinking on a Sunday went to Saturday as well which meant shit sleep and crisps.

Back in the game now. September off the ale. Running 6k 3 times a week and intermittent push and pull sessions in the gym.

Slowed down over the summer, but still keeping up 4.30/4.40 per KM - way behind my best but I’m enjoying the runs so just keeping going. Got another half at the end of the month - will see how it goes.

Doing a diet with the other half - 800 calories diet, really love stuff especially if you like fish. Homemade Mackerel pate with broccoli for lunch. Ace stuff.

Do you have a cheeky pose in front of the full-length mirror when your Mrs is out at work?

How does that work alongside exercising and your body going in to starvation mode? In the last few weeks I've been finding I'm losing more weight on a 1,500 calorie average than I have been on a 1,200 average. Weird.
