Start a thread. I need inspiration for my own project.

Good place around here is the Filling Factory at Buckshaw village, they have a great bar area with furniture made from pallets..

I have a couple of photos but it won't let me upload them.

Try them on Trip Advisor though - they have a few decent pix.

Part of my job pal

I’m trying to keep in my aerobic zone on my easy runs however I’m finding my pace is sometimes near walking pace (it’s not the flattest of areas where I am which I’m guessing will have some effect) I’ve read that in some cases It can take upto 3 months to run at any sort of decent pace in that zone. Does that sound right?

It needs consistency and like any cardio training time.

Think of it like a flattening curve. It’s kind of hard to explain writing it.

Any sort of incline has an effect on it because your body is then working harder and oxygen needs pumping around at different rates, it takes adjustment and time and in some cases it can take months.

the flatter the route the quicker you will adapt. That’s why long distance runners train at high altitude on flat courses

Gracias.

Joe Wicks had his wife Rosie help out in his interactive work out session this morning because he's injured his arm.

It turns out that Rosie is none other than Rosie Jones of Page 3 / Nuts fame. I never knew that.

Work have just reopened cycle to work window for us and am now tempted.

Are we saying a hybrid bike is best? I wouldn’t go to far off road with it but also wouldn’t stick solely to roads.
And how much do I need to spend to get something decent ?

I got a hybrid on a CTW scheme And I wouldn’t dream of taking it off road

Hmmm. By off road I’m talking about gravel paths and coastal tarmac paths rather than really off road. Majority would be road though so maybe I just stick to the road.

would hybrid still be best option?

Would imagine so.

If the gravel is a bit chunky or deep wouldn't imagine you'd be too safe on a road bike.

GJ is bob on with this bit.

I did the Guild Wheel on a road bike once but the skinny tyres were sliding everywhere.

Hybrid will be fine for regular paths. You'll not be taking it up Ben Nevis any day soon, I don't think. 😁

I would struggle to get up the hill to asda pal currently and it’s about as steep as bank street 😁

We have some cheapish scales that are supposed to measure body fat and water

Is it magic or is there a formula it's using?

It’s an electrical current from the scales up into your body and back down to the sensors.

Body fat isn’t a great conductor of electricity so the more resistance the higher the fat, in theory.

Its called Bio electrical impedance analysis  and it can measure, Fat, water, muscle and bone mass.
