Start of lockdown i was 192 lbs.

Been obsessing with keeping the fitness up , especially weights. I’m now at 202, body fat has reduced so I’ll stop the weights and look to get to 188

Resist - even if you face being berated, there must be a picture of that jolly psyskick knocking about? Not 'street' clothes but not fucking lycra...you'd still have to face yourself in the mirror everyday if you did.

Helmets? Sensible, but I work on the principle ever since I was given a Strika I've never bumped my noggin - I reckon' a helmet would put askew my bike fengshui now.

I did, after taking drugs (years ago) think I'd had a Dragon's Den moment - The Crash-Fro, a helmet covered by a stereotypical afro wig, for those who shy away from regular helmets.

It's patented before anyone gets any ideas.

Exhibit A

Ate toast for breakfast, coffee,

Dinner sandwich white bread no salad

Tea average meal nothing too unhealthy nothing overly healthy

3 cans of coke during the day.

Asked him to cut out the coke and replaced that with 4 bottles of water, with cucumber in it.

No intense training, walking the dog once a day and pottering about

in 4 weeks lost 5lbs.

Then switched bread, rice, pasta, from white to brown. Stuck with the water, no coke.

12 weeks lost a 15lbs from little changes.

My weight fluctuated 9 lbs in 4 days last week. Alcohol consumption at weekends causing a false increase?

Consumed around 4-5 litres of water on the Monday and at least 2-3 the other days. Cut out bread.

Weight dropped off.

If it was full sugar Coke, then the 11,760 calories saved will have helped as that alone equates to 3.34lbs.

And even if it was Diet/Zero, fizzy drinks can cause fluid retention, so the wife says.

It’s incredible really when you think about it. Healthier to just do a line of coke 😁

Coke and beer have similar number of calories for the same quantity.

Coke has absolutely no nutritional benefit.
It has lots of sugar and a higher sodium content than beer.
Beer on other hand has trace amounts of protein and has higher potassium content and antioxidants.

Beer is now a health drink.

Been struggling to shift my last stone before reaching my dream weight. Gave it a go at upping my calorie limit from 1,500 calories to 1,680 and ended up losing 4.6 pounds in 3 weeks. Been out walking for an hour most evenings but nowt much else and not been running in probably a couple of months for one reason or another.

4.8 pounds to go 🤞
