Johnnyrotten
Just now, stevieb said: It's bollocks. Would kill the cup even more. You have non league outfits fighting tooth and nail to get into the third round for the chance of a payday that could keep em going for a year or two. The fact we're going to the wall can't be blamed on fa Cup gate receipts distribution. I wasn't referring to the fact that we're going to the wall. But if every club was equally well managed and generated the same income for arguments sake, the advantage goes to the team that gets a good draw, there you go, have a quality striker without earning it through good management. Reading seem to get Man U every year and Blackpool got Arsenal twice in 5 months...just seems unfair as we know we'll always get the dullest ties of the round, for ever and a day! The top ten or so in Championship is the equal of the bottom half of the Premiership, it's been evident for years in my opinion. Just a shame we're miles off it. Johnnyrotten
Just a thought but our away following at Bristol of 400 or whatever...has to be our lowest turn out for a cup tie in 40 years plus. No criticism intended, just an observation, I have 'lived' every cup tie of the last 40 years and have never had less of a pre match buzz. Moderators Casino Posted January 27, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 27, 2019 And fa cup wise, chesterfield 4-3 away win was pretty sparse 3rd round onwards, can't think of many lower than 400,if I'm honest

But they let us drink on the club coach, as we would have been allowed on the original coach. Or summat. We were very drunk. 40 years ago; gosh

I’ve mentioned it before but Watford away league cup 2nd leg in the Mcgovern era we took about 16 fans In the away end behind the next not sure if there were any in the seats but can’t have been many, we actually win the second leg in 90 minutes took it to extra time where we lost. That was some Watford team. Edited January 28, 2019 by Mounts Kipper
