Why not leave just before the second half kicks off?

Did about 16 during the promotion year

That dropped to about seven last season and I am on 4 so far this season. Probably end up like last season.

Like most of things on here you are wrong again :D

Reet so 19.45 kick off means finishes about 21.35 giving me about an hour to get to the station which I reckon can be done, hopefully via a long straight road

I'm tempted

Walked it back to Temple Meads on Saturday & with a quick stop for provisions, was there for 5-45, about 45 - 50 mins walk. It's anything but a long, straight road, but on the plus side it's a really nice walk with a good stretch along the side of the river facing the "Great Britain" boat.

There's supposed to be busses but i couldn't find the bus stop !!

Buses were at the opposite end, outside of the Ford dealership. Dropped right outside the station at 5.20. Met an old grizzled Wanderer from Oxford on the bus. Not  sure if anyone on here might know him. I was convinced he was on a cocktail of Spice and Speed  - total lunatic and a great bloke.

Aye me too.

I can feel a cup run and giant killing in the next round to make everyone friends again :)

There's nothing at all to back up such a feeling but if we were to pull it off it'd be one of the most satisfying results in a very long time, would be absolutely bouncing for that cup draw.

Ready made excuse for another defeat here.

Playing Monday then Friday, BC playing on the Saturday, so more rest.

Ditto reading on the following Tuesday. They can not only rest after this Saturday but can concentrate on strengthening their team before they play a season defining game.

They groundshare and the rugby club were always at home that day, City were supposed to be away.

Rugby are playing top of the table Exeter in a local-ish derby and will draw a bigger crowd. All makes sense really.

Apart from it could have been Sunday and push the Reading game later in the season

Why we accept this shit I really dont know

Probably because the pitch on Sunday will be a fucking mess after the egg chasing on Sunday.

The real answer is that Saturday's rugby tie is live on television, and television rules as usual.

would that in turn determine when the footy has to be played? i.e. friday or sunday?
