Just read it now and there's no mention of the Trust.

FWIW I was speaking to someone involved in arranging the meeting before WBA earlier today and he mentioned that they'd reached out to the Trust for support only to be met by complete silence. I would've expected them to be all over something so overtly anti-Ken.

Based on the tone of the email they sent out this week, they're trying to keep out of what is becoming an angry hostile situation, which is probably wise.

They are, however, holding out for a private meeting with Ken, which probably isn't wise.

Are Anderson’s previous business dealings relevant? Surely this is the crux of this discussion. McGinlays business dealings are just a diversion.

Nat had a pub once. It didn’t work out for him. Shall we also discuss that?

In fact, let’s talk about a few other ex players whose businesses didn’t work out.

Its a long list. None are owners of our football club.

My issue with McGinlay is he knows how difficult it is to run businesses - I know little about how he's gone on in the pub game other than it wasn't successful.

If he would acknowledge that, I'd have some time for his input

Currently all ive heard from him is that KA is a liar and that Parkinson should be sacked and replaced by Lee

I would hope Ken’s response to that invite is as follows

are you looking to discuss a financial package which could buy me out of my stake in the football club.?

Yes - please respond

No - please delete this email and go about your day

Dunno if I've said this before but KA really ought to be looking to build bridges with the evening news

Not that whopper Iles, but surely there's some mileage in talking with Holbrook

I'd even go so far as suggesting he speaks to senior trust types...the likes of Allanson

100%. At this point in time they're just taking up his valuable time if they (or anyone) can't move a sale forward in whatever way they can.

Everyone seems to know how his pub business went so maybe ask them.

KA has proved to be a liar and it’s his personal opinion about Lee. We all have an opinion.

Oh, and as a Bolton fan, he’s in my top three best ever players. What about you?

Its a fair point, and I'm with you, but this whole question time scenario with Iles and Deardon and probably most of the ST is a one way thing and they care only gonna go one way and not look at all the points from all angles, SJM in my eyes is a legend, i fucking love him and he has provided some pivotal moments on the pitch, Wolves play-offs, Liverpool FA cup etc.... but when it comes to the KA side and all this shit, he should leave it alone and carry on being a club legend and not tarnishing his reputation.

is pretty much where I'm at.

I also agree that Ken needs to mend some relationships.

3 best ever....not close

If you made it favourite, he would be higher

No it was about a fans forum, where I doubt discussion will be about football.

It’s an open forum from what I can see. It’s an ideal opportunity for people on here to speak their  mind in person, face to face with the people they have criticised and name called on here. Discuss the major issues of the day with people who really know whats going on behind the scenes.

McGinlay should stay in the past as a great and not get caught up in all this

He and Kelly did a lot of canvassing for that wanker coyle to get the job years back

We all saw what happens when a former favourite (although not in the same league as other favourites) Owen Coyle came forward to lead the club. He soon found out that the current is more important to the fans than the past. I think McGinlay ought to make sure his choice of sides to sit with. It may come back and bite him.

We can dissect/split hairs all night in this friendly manner, but there'll be no people there who really know what's going on behind the scenes.

And it will degenerate into a Ken Out rally

I’ve never been to any of these type of events before and I’ve no intention of going to this one.

Some may remember my discussion with my mate Gary Madine. Whatever I say on here I would say in person.

The fans forum would be an ideal opportunity for some on here to say in person what they say on here.

From what I've read in your posts in the past you appear to have been around on planet earth and BWFC about the same length of time as me, possibly a little bit longer, seeing and experiencing all the shit that has gone on in the past. In the main, I tend to pretty much agree with you on everything. On this, however, no

To me, it's not an open forum at all. You have to email your question in advance. That, in my opinion is not an open forum, That is a vetted forum. I may be all tin foil hat here, searching for a conspiracy theory, but, to me, it stinks of bullshit, Absolutely reeks of it. A truly open forum would say, for example, that there's 300 seats, and the first 300 in the queue can attend and ask any question that they like

I perhaps agree with you that McGinlay's past business dealings have no relevance. But similarly, neither has his opinion. What does he offer?

I will never fall out with a true white on an internet forum. I will fall out with WUMs. I will simply agree to disagree with you on all this and make no comment about you or hold no opinion of you. We all want the same at the end of the day

We could always put out the advice to take your own beer if you fancy a drink. The staff at Victoria Hall are all very much old-school Methodists. (At least they pretend to be)

I was appearing in a show there and at half time we nipped over the car park for a beer in the Blue Boar. The woman on the door wasn't for letting us back in when we got back to close the second half. It was only when we pointed out that we were one of the acts she reluctantly changed her mind.
