What a crock of shit, a 56 year old "man" saying it's never been this bad; someone who lived through relegation to Division 4 (and the first half of that season).

Former Gresley Rovers (2001) manager stating that our team is set up wrong

People swallowing this horseshit at fact.

John McGinlay - what an utterly thick shithouse he is.

I think inviting him on to comment on anything is completely and utterly worthless. A failed businessman and failed coach/scout whatever it is you want to call it.

Its a shame given his legendary playing status with the club .....heyho move on its a sideshow.

I can only think McGinlay is following proceedings with ken et al from purely a top level view mainly Bolton news and iles being in his ear.

Anyone who has delved a bit deeper can see it isnt as simple as and clear cut as Bolton news portrays

Goes to show how influential the Bolton news are and how simple people can be influenced.

he called for administratation last night seemingly without any thought for the employees affected

hes either thick or uncaring

It seemed the penny dropped for him at one point last night regarding admin - one minute he was all behind it, the next goingon about how his concern was the club’s back office staff....seemed he twigged in the end (I hope)

Someone maybe shuffled a bit of paper in his direction?

Shame about McGinlay, the blokes Bolton through and through and has provided us with some cracking football moments on the pitch, i remember playing one half with him and one half against him in a charity match after he retired and he was brilliant in the dressing room with the lads, and that's how i want to remember him.

He is probably frustrated as the rest of us, but what he fails to remember he played the majority of his Bolton career in the 2nd & 3rd tier of football, he has probably woke up today feeling a right nob, especially as there were hardly anyone at the Victoria Hall last night (Looking at the LoV photo).

At the end of the day, he will always be Super John McGinley.

Spot on,

As a below PL-standard player, he was excellent
As a football manager/coach, less distinguished
As a businessman, he's not likely to be offered a chair on Dragons Den

Like a lot on here I am pretty tired of all this now. The debate just goes round and round in circles.

It's pretty clear no one has an answer to our problems as there isn't one. We are probably still losing money as Ken's business plan was set for higher match revenue. That can only mean more cost cutting.

One thing I would say is that for a club that hasn't got a pot to piss in we do seem to waste money. Paying fees for bang average players and can someone tell me what Julian Darby AND Steve Parkin do? Clearly not having any effect whatever it is. There's probably more examples.

It would be so sad if SJM lost respect from Bolton fans because of his misguided involvement in all this bollocks.

Thanks for the memories John an' all that, but perhaps best if you stayed clear from this kind of stuff.

That's where I'm at, he can have his opinion I'm fine with that, but join in a March is just a bit to far for me

Madness if he thought he could lead a march around the stadium then walk through the VIP entrance, pop some headphones on and commentate on the game immediately after.

Lack of earning means he's less likely to pay off the debts he's run up over the years though!
