Casino 2,323
He would've been better speaking up when his buddy Coyle was destroying us As an aside, he makes out hes a big fan Has he been seen at an away game since Stockport in 1990 whatever?
Lostock Whites 15
Ken didn’t remove the debt that was all Eddie Davies. And considering Ken has done such miracles, and has put us so much better financially, we’ve done remarkably well to have been acting so poorly as a club. I completely understand the poor position Ken was in, and the shite he had to deal with from our previous regime. To us fans, who can only really see what gets shown in front of us, there is no real difference between now and 2 years ago, unpaid/delayed wages, constant bad news being dragged out of the club. That’s what the issue is with the fans with Ken, is there has been no progression. We got promoted, and stayed up miraculously, and then was the point were we all beleived, yes, this is where we can progress. We stayed up, which was documented across the world, our debt was pretty much wiped, started brilliantly. All this positivity, you would of thought things would improve, and that there was no better time for an investor to come in. But the frustration is that it hasn’t, things have gone worse, much worse, and it’s obvious without a change, to our management, but predominantly our owners, we will be in the same position as 2 years ago. Thats where the frustration lies, as we all believed it was behind us, yet the amount of crap we’ve had to listen to, and that amount of problems documented, has been overwhelming for some. That’s why I can understand why protests are taking place. Add on that, the fact that we are a very poor team, with very poor sub standard tactics given by our manager, ugly football each game, with no results. I respect Parky, 100%, he’s done miracles, but to progress the club further, he’s shown his major limitations of managing a championship club. But at the moment, considering how poor our squad is, I can’t blame everything on Parky. If we did stay up, and did get investment, then I’d look to see if a new manager could come in. You’re still not getting it. we have no money. We have cash flow problems because we have no money. We are in exactly the same position we were this time last season. Skint and and in the relegation zone of the championship....with less debt but no Gary Madine to sell. The bad stories will continue to pour of the club, Ken will continue beg steal and borrow to keep the club afloat and folk will still get frustrated unit we get some more money from somewhere. If we were mid table playing attacking football you wouldn’t give two shites that we owe an agent firm a few quid or refused to pay money to forest green for a player whilst we were under embargo so couldn’t register him. Which was the correct decision by the way.

Yeah but Gonzo, why can’t we just balance the books, make some profit, pay absolutely everybody on time, sack the manager, buy better players, play better football and get new investment next week? Can’t be that hard can it? As for this comment of “he should spend more time looking for investors and less time banning people” - how fucking long do people really think it takes to stick a statement out? Half an hour? Every what, 3 days on average? If anybody genuinely thinks that his statements are reducing his efforts of getting investment then they need to have a word with themselves. Likewise this idea that bad limelight is being put on the club will detract from buyers appetite. I actually think that it’s almost the opposite, the bar is so low in terms of what our fans (and apparently the wider football world) think of Ken that a new owner will be massively in favour from day one, just because he/she/they are not Ken, stick a few early PR stunts out there and they’ll be loved! It won’t take long for people to forget that we screwed over a carrot shagging prick from a tiny club in the Cotswolds under previous ownership.

Parkinsons tactics are a joke and I am glad SJM has said what he thinks; why would anyone not give their comments. I agree with Casino regarding him not slagging Coyle but his downfall was getting us into debt by paying millions for sub-standard players and thats why we are where we are now; Parkinsons tactics are far worse than Coyle's in fact the first 6 months of Coyle's reign we were a joy to watch
snowball 344
I agree totally that parky's 'tactics 'or lack of are a big problem and very disheartening. Was just surprised an ex player who is often a guest of the club said what he did about the manager . Not saying SJM was wrong either
Lostock Whites 15
Parky has been somewhat very very fortunate, for the position we’ve been in. If we wasn’t such a mess of a club, he’d surely have gone a long time ago. It’s easy, when we get battered by a team, can just blame it on the opposition team having a 7 or 10 million or whatever player that can change the game. When in fact it’s mainly due to woeful tactics from the manager. Parky did a fantastic job getting us promoted and keeping us up, but we all see every single week how out of his depth he is tactically in the Championship. But I also recognise that our players are the biggest bunch of old, slow, untechnical, unskillful players in the league. Most good/average teams in this league, are full of young players, pressing football, possession play. This is everything our team does not have.

Thats the problem with our club, we aren’t bringing youth players in. The players who we are playing are 30+, and are tied down for 1-2 seasons at the very most, and don’t have futures at Bolton Wanderers. For our situation, we do need experience, to just try and survive, but that’s not working. Edited January 19, 2019 by Lostock Whites

Just as last season, it’s never likely to be much fun watching a side aiming to finish 21st in a 24 horse race. No good comparing us to the average teams in the division because we aren’t fishing in the same pond as even the 14th-18th sides, never mind 10th-14th. Might sound negative, defeatist and overall just an excuse, but unfortunately it’s a fact of life at the moment.
captainmed 126
I am totally convinced that if we had got rid of PP at the end of October (when KA alluded to it) then we would now be in a better league position. And that’s what football is about for the majority of fans - performances on the pitch. Tomorrow’s “action” would not have been planned for KA’s behaviour & the clubs finances alone. Unfortunately Its too late to get rid now but this could have been avoided IMO.
