If I'm doing it, climate needs to be good enough for winter months

Don't fancy canaries, dont want all day full english, dont want to hear too many english, it needs to be within a few hours

What's my options

Is andalucia ok in the winter?

Seems to be decent value

Try Leverburgh.

Or if that's not warm enough Leverville* definitely is!

*Now known as Lusanga.

You only have to go inland 1 hour inland on most of the costas and you’ll not see any English breakfasts type places I’d concentrate on 1 hour drive North and south of Alicante airport ( flights will always be plentiful) then drive inland into the mountains.

Andalusia would’nt have quite as good a climate as Murcia region which is classed as the only desert area in Europe and I’d say it would also be cheaper in that area. Flights into Andalucia would mean flying into Malaga and it’s a fairly long journey to Andalucia from there. If you are serious I’d make sure you do your research and if possible spend a holiday in the area you choose and view properties while you are there before you take the plunge.

Just checked weather this week where our place and it’s 22c best day and 16c worst day, would love a bit of that at the moment.

You can go on a shit load of holidays for the cost of buying somewhere and you chose where you go rather than having to go back to the same place.

This is easily my preferred option

Albeit you wouldn’t have the residual value of a property at the end of it.

No English voices or full English brekky.

Ceuta is perfect for you

I'd never heard of the place

It looks like it is, or will be, a reet melting pot

I'll pass, thank you. :)

I thought you said no English brekkies or hardly any English voices....it’s perfect for you ......unless you’re just another Gary Lineker and the virtue signalling re refugees :D

Joking aside, it’s been bad there for a few years now

In laws have a place in chappelle baton, think mid west France. They drive it in a day (I think), but close enough to la Rochelle. We've done it via train into Poitiers.

Quite rural, very warm, cheap as fuck. They bought a farm for next to fuck all, huge property and loads of land. They've been going over every holiday for about six years (she works in a school), almost ready to retire there... Some work to be done, and they researched for years, but worth it.

Re the location; lakeside beach and hypermarkets within a short journey, only English voice you'll here are a scattering of ex pat's, and maybe some bucket shakers visiting angoloume... Local celebrity residence; Gregor Fisher

Poitiers weather today 5c (max) -1c (min).

Sounds like a busman's holiday to me, fleeing is still fleeing even in the middle of a vineyard.

Dismissing the Canaries is a bit hasty imo, I genuinely wouldn't know where to get a full English in say; Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife or La Gomera...

As an aside, I'm in awe at Miami's ability to shoehorn some alt-shite content into almost any thread. Quite remarkable.
