All are former Commonwealth countries except Argentina, who would like a little British Protectorate back and be renamed Malvinas. Fuck 'em!

Poitiers weather today 5c (max) -1c (min).

Sounds like a busman's holiday to me, fleeing is still fleeing even in the middle of a vineyard.

Dismissing the Canaries is a bit hasty imo, I genuinely wouldn't know where to get a full English in say; Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife or La Gomera...

As an aside, I'm in awe at Miami's ability to shoehorn some alt-shite content into almost any thread. Quite remarkable.

To be fair this is basically a thread about immigration

Agree it’s way too cold especially when 1 more hour flight gives you an average day time temp in winter of 18c.

You must be minted if thinking of a 2nd home here.

Median house price is £300k, and most are fucking shite.

If I'm doing it, climate needs to be good enough for winter months

Don't fancy canaries, dont want all day full english, dont want to hear too many english, it needs to be within a few hours

What's my options

Is andalucia ok in the winter?

Seems to be decent value

Just got back. 23 and 24 degrees C most days. Fucking fantastic.

Easy to avoid the English if that's what you want. If you aren't arsed about oceans and beaches, have a look at Alhaurin Le Grande. Good little local football club too.

Swarthy chancers mobbing up and going where they're not welcome, and, when they've foisted themselves amongst the locals' environment, 'sticking to their own', not learning the lingo and continuing to carry out their strange customs and antisocial practices as if still at 'home'? True.

Got some friends who have moved to Javea. (Xabia) Just about an hour north of Alicante, half an hour past Benidorm.

Stunning place, no scutters

Lovely up there, Denia also lovely, nothing at all like Benidorm although only 30 minutes away. It’s classy part of the world and prices would reflect that.

I might be a numb cunt, but before 1982, i had never even heard of the Falkland Islands.

I'd heard of them; my dad worked with someone from there. Thing is, I thought it was up towards Shetland Isles.

The folks have lived out there for over 15 years, about 30 mins inland from Javea and Denia. Nice area and I try to get out to visit as often as I can.

Those cones; at first glance I thought they were out of context dutchers.

Nope. We were protesting about overuse of them and associated speed restrictions when you can drive 40 miles and never even see a "worker".
