leigh white
Had a good walk round Dunham Massey today in the sunshine, it's the first time iv'e been and passed it many times on the way to Altrincham. Found a cracking pub with a roaring log fire and a refreshing pint of Black Sheep to ease the pain of my aching legs.
Marc505
A walk round Entwistle Reservoir ending at Strawbury Duck, round Rivington or through Smithills in winter, knowing you're barely 30 mins drive from the likes of Bank Street and Bradshawgate... It's a privilege.

gonzo
Nice trot with the boys later round stanah park and wyre estuary to clear the cobwebs off. Bay horse beckons after.

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 3, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted February 3, 2019 Went up wayoh, entwistle earlier. Bit of a mistake; like glass all over, tight hamstring baby steps the whole way and we saw two ladies go flying. Was quite glad to come down a few tens of metres to pavements of tarmack. MancWanderer
Mrs Manc went to Heaton Park today with the grandkids Slipped on the ice whilst carrying the grandson (so that he didn't fall over) - went arse over tits (34D) - ankle a lovely shade of purple and what looks like a second kneecap that's blown up after she landed on her knee. Grandson flew out of her arms and has a lovely gash on his leg. Grand-daughter in the pram disappeared down the slope and ended up in the bushes on the edge of the lake Dangerous out there folks...... Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 4, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted February 4, 2019 Hope they're all ok! We saw one mon running; he came across the dam then ventured up the lakeside path. I reckon he'd have got less than a couple of hundred yards before he came a cropper. Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted February 4, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted February 4, 2019 Walking the hound this morning, the pavements were like sheet ice where the snow hadn't melted and rain had fallen - hate the bastard snow

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 4, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted February 4, 2019 Waited until he'd gone. Then we looked at each other and both had the same thought.
